Blue Jackets goalie Steve Mason is in a perplexing slump that has led to him being pulled from three of his past four starts.

Remeber when this guy was the next Patrick Roy? Yeah. Funny thing about the stars, they adjust to different fronts. Teams figured Mason out and now they're picking him apart. Mason needs to stop pressing and recognizing how people are attacking him.

Mason is just a bad goal tender. Thats all. The Jackets paid a ton of money for a bad goal tender again, just like Marc Denis.

Either send Mason down or keep him #2. The Jackets are sending their season down the drain if they keep playing Mason right now.

I've always tried to give Howson the benefit of the doubt, but I am starting to question some of his thinking. This teams has enough talent to get into the playoffs and make some noise if they can come out consistent every night.

This whole mentality that the Jackets season can be sacrificed to rehabilitate Mason is ludicrous. The franchise will pay dearly for this misguided path.

No swipe on Garon. He has played great. It would ne nice to maybe trade for like a Broduer or Turco and see if we can't get some veteran leadership to show Mason how to prep for a game. I think he has the tools to be great but needs some work.
