unlike the islander trolls who parade on the rangers board after every loss, i feel bad for the true islander fans after a loss, and season like this.

Heres hoping to a turnaround. Maybe we get lucky and have three competitive teams in the area at once for a change.

Yo Dino and ranger$ fans you have a team to worry about you know! Its not like the ranger$ season is over or they are comfortably in a playoff spot. Ranger$ lost 10-2 this year by the way for those of you that have forgotten. Giving up 10 goals is worse even though losing by 9 is worse than losing by 8. THe islanders will be a 500. team next season. This is not the team your going to see next season. The defense will be improved and lets add a healthy bergenheim and okposo along with this years first round pick as well as more experience by Nielsen who could get 50 pts next year along with bailey developing(40-50 pts next year). Its just one terrible loss in a lost season against the hottest team in the league and possibly the team representing the east in the finals this year. The canes just do not stop, but the islanders looked worse than a minor league team out there. They just did not come to play, plain and simple.

If the way he runs the team is any indicator of how he will run his lighthouse project, the thing will be another useless piece of LI trash

at least someone gets it--wang is not any better than the milsteins were--wanted the real estate or else...
surprised jayk from manhasset aka paul lancey hasnt had a post here yet...
wang started out well--brought in yashin, osgood, aucoin, hamrlik, peca, etc fooled everyone into thinking he was committed to winning--then after losing a tough 7 game series to toronto the first thing he says is "we lost money..we have to cut 5 mil off the payroll" --goodbye hamrlik
there goes the commitment to winning...the islanders have been terrible since--all he cared about from the start was getting his lighthouse and in the end he will get what he wants and the taxpayers will foot the bill. He is a shrewd businessman, hats off to him but i resent the fact that as a taxpayer ill be paying for his fantasyland for years to come

This team has been grossly mismanaged for a long time but it seems like they are on the verge of finally getting a franchise player. With the Salary cap you cant build a great team unless you do well drafting and retaining talent which Milbery never did (and ultimately Wang should shoulder the blame for not firing the bum) hopefully Snow has learned we'll find out.

its all aboot the future. These young kids can play budday.
And if Garth and Wang play the cards right, we can get the franchise player, have Weight be a mentor to Bailey and Tavares or Hedman,(Weight is one of the best playmakers in modern hockey) and this team can be good. All we need is the Lighthouse project to get approved and bring Long Island bck to the map.
