The Wild are worse off without him. It disgusts me that he may just walk away for nothing in return. We need Gabby to stay! If he just walks away in July DR should be fired for this incredible mismanagement of the situation!

Doug Risebrough is the worst GM in ALL of professional sports. When Marianne Gaborik turned down the 80 million contract he should have been traded immediately. There are teenage girls that are tougher and less hurt then Marianne and knowing this the Canadian clown Risebrough did not trade him before the season and like clock work Marianne got hurt again and we will now get ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for him!! Just Like we got nothing for Rolston we are not going to get a (d-a-m-n) thing for the the third overall pick in the draft. The Canadian clown has brought this franchise to its knees with his incompetent handling of free agents, incompetent sigining of players (5 million a year for Pierre Marc Boucrap??) and incompetent draft picks. He brought the Calagary Flames to their knees before they got rid of his (a-s-s) and now he has basically turned the Wild to a terrible AHL team!! DO WE REALLY WANT THIS CLOWN PICKING THE NEXT COACH, DOING THE DELICATE NEGOTIATIONS WITH GABORIK OR MAKING OUR DRAT PICKS IN JUNE????????? WHY IS THERE NO OUTRAGE WITH THE FANS ON HOW HE HAS DESTROYED THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!!

He did have a bad showing in the playoffs last season, but the prior year they were completely overmatched by Anaheim (Stanley Cup Champions). He still ended up with 3 goals and 4 points in 5 games. The only other year the Wild made the playoffs was the run in 2003, when he scored 9 goals and 17 points in 18 games.
My thoughts on Gaborik is that, yes he has been injured often, but when he has played, he has been the greatest difference maker on the ice. The problem with that, is that the Wild have not had any other goal scorers that the opponents have had to worry about. Take away Gaborik, you take away the Wild's only big scoring threat. That makes it way too easy in the playoffs to shut them down.

Mary-Ann, that is pure BS you're spouting. The team offered you several different contracts and you didn't respond to any of them.

Don't feed us this "the team never talked to us" BS now as an excuse for your greed and pansy ways.

The Wild does not need him!! If they had a GM that knew what he was doing we could have gotten two scorers for the price of one Gaborik.

So basically Gaborik is just giving us lip service to make fans dislike him less than they already do. I'm sure he's already put his condo on the market and packed up his race car simulator.

Do not bring back Gabby, why sign someone who doesn't want to be here and he disappears during the playoffs. Calgary has him figured out - play him physical and he turns soft.

He is going to have suiters, but there are a couple of teams (Detroit, Pittsburgh, and a few others) that aren't going to have a chance. They are already going to be close to the salary cap for next season. And if the cap drops, as it is expected, there will be even fewer teams that will be able to offer him the contract that he desires.

I will absolutely giggle my arse off if he's forced to accept a contract for less than what we originally offered him.
