Whatever. All we've heard about since Chuck Fletcher took over is that he's going to be a "wheeler and dealer" and that this teams is going to "acquire assets" and play an "aggressive, up-tempo style" and all that. Now, we're supposed to settle into the same old non-eventful ways and accept the excuses.
Anyone can see that this team has few assets. But don't sit there day after day and feed stories to the paper about how aggressive you're going to be as a wheeler and dealer and then pull up lame. You shouldn't have got people's hopes up in the first place. In the other paper, there's at lest five stories over the past month in which Fletcher says he's going to wheel and deal. Same old Wild. It's always window-dressing. |
