This was such an ugly loss. I felt we played good, very intense. They just had better breaks, I guess.

Our goalie, once again, outplayed by his counterpart. All the blame though, should not be on Backstrom. We have too many overrated, underachievers in this group. That being said....it's not over until the fat lady sings!

Why is no one ine front of the net on the PP? All we do is pass around and shoot. Someone needs to be in front of the net as a screen to the goalie. We still played well.

To my dismay I turned on the TV and there on FSNN was the loser Wolves playing instead of the Wild. And no where could the Twins be found on cable tv up here. Who blew this one? Those that did not carry them on Charter. I am tempted to go to Dish or weren't they on there either? Go Wild and Twins. Keep the losers off when the Wild are in the playoffs.

A little early for the broom talk. Was Skoula dancing or snuggling with Smythe on the 2nd goal? He didn't lay an aggressive hit on him while they were in front of the net. Smythe gets a tip & a goal. I also liked the time in the 3rd period where Skoula stood with the puck near the goal line for about 10 seconds with nobody around him. He looked confused on what he should do with the puck. Our defense other than Burns & maybe Schutlz SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

Great effort by the Wild, especially the third period turn around. They would've had to have won it in the OT, we all know how Backstrom fares in shootouts. Is it my imagination or do I see a rather chubby, rotund, lady asking for someone to pass her the throat spray?

Things certainly didn't go well for the Wild. They didn't fore-check the way they have in their best game, but they also couldn't catch a break.

Wait and watch...they've got a great team this year and CAN put it all together!

Here's and Idea Jaq, when you're 5 on 5 don't play like you're on a powerplay kill. Also you have the toughness? Yet Colorado finished checks out hit us! Cripes that goal never would of been scored if we were checking!

Well I am reading a lot of negative posts here. Wow, the Wild played great both offensively and defensively. Somewhere I am hearing rumblings of Jac blaming the OT goal on Shep! Bad move Jac, you win as a team and you lose as a team, end of story, and certainly don't call out your youngest player in his first NHL playoff game. Shep played great!! I would start him next game if I were Jac!!! To point out a 19 year olds mistake is really lame and this is the first time I must say that Jac blew it with his comments after the game. Colorado hit 3 posts and missed a penalty shot, we should have lost the game 6-2. Furthermore Backs has to swallow up that rebound and not kick it backed out to Sakic, right on his stick I might add! But I blame no one, the team played great and played hard. This is just playoff hockey and there is nothing to get all up tight about. You go out Friday and play just as hard and try and win the game. Then we go Colorado and nip a game there. There is still plenty of hockey left to be played. Don't sweat a first game loss, look at San Jose.. I firmly believe that San Jose like the Wild will take their series to game 7. Go Wild keep playing like you are and good things will happen. Just wasn't your night last night that's all. The jojo WILL swing in our direction whether it be this Friday or in Colorado. I am in your corner! Go WILD!!!!

ok doom and gloom. I would venture far from putting the Wild is the category with the vikes, gophs and timbies (sorry but you are way off by putting the twinks in there). We have winner here! My how fast a first place division winning season is forgotten. Shame on you for this post!

Skoula was holding puck because we in the middle of line change. Something you can't see or tell is happening when watching the game on TV. Skoula played a darn good game. Probably the best first period I have ever seen him play. Lay off of Skoula! You win as a team and you lose a team, remember?

Actually Kabby, if you watch the replay of the goal in overtime, Backstrom never touched it. The puck deflected off the defensemans skate and went right to Sakic, Backstrom never deflected it. There was no way to stop that goal from happening, unless of course you take out Sakic from that spot. Otherwise they played good all around, they just didn't get the breaks or bounces in front of the net like Colorado did, which you need in the playoffs.

Just jump off the bandwagon we don't really need you on it. Good thing you have to win 4 games isn't it.

Hey genius, how exactly do you expect FSN to carry the Wild game when it's being carried on KSTC?

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Cancer

If you want to avoid having a row with someone, get out and about as much as possible today so you can work off all your nervous energy. If you stay in one place for too long you'll be in danger of becoming moody, and possibly even a right old crosspatch. You might also lose your temper with loved ones who are being bolshie or who have the audacity to disagree with you about something. Lighten up, Cancer!
