The Wild dominated this game but unfortunately they couldn't put the puck in the net...im not worried yet...they need game 2 though...I have confidence they can go in there and take both games in Colorado...but I think they need to get Boogy and Simon out there and start pounding those AVs...they took out Parish and they tried to get Gabby in regular season...its time to put some pressure on Mr Sakic...drill him hard...i want to see them slowly getting up from the ice not our guys.

The announcers on TV last night (I know there are homers) made it sound as though the Wild should be excited with how well they played. Well you know what, we are down 0-1 in the series. When your the 3 seed at home, there are NO moral victories. Either win or shut up.

Read this quote:
Avs coach Joel Quenneville said there's a lot more to it than that. "Joe's a scorer, a great player, and he knows his way around the rink," Quenneville said. "Sometimes you get fortunate bounces, but you know where to go to get those fortunate bounces." Heres what i think about Gabs:No hockey sense! How many times last night during this game where i said to my brothers hes never in the right place at the right time! Good player: Yes. No hockey sense: Yes! Its unfortunate too because the guy could be a GREAT player and not just mediocre. Sakic wasnt dominate last night but was at the right place at the right time, also leading his team like a true captain. Giving Gaborik the captaincy is token, i just dont see him as a great leader, like every team needs! On a positive note Bouchard and Koivu were real good last night! |

Kea, I agree the only thing that matters is wins and losses but we havent lost anything yet...its a best of 7...we all knew the Wild wouldn't sweep the AVs.
If we continue to play like we did last night with that much energy we will beat the AVs...the AVs got the bounces last night...the Wild didnt. |

Gaborik can't accept that they are going to take him out of the game. He has to do something about it. We need to treat their star players as they are treating ours. Bounce them around. Especially in front of the net. I can't believe Skoula is going to let Sakic stand in front of our net like that. Pound him! I'm hatin' on Skoula. He had a horrible game. He sat back and waited for the other guy to make a move. If I am Burns, I am flat out destroying Forseberg and I don't care if I get a penalty for it. The dude needs to go down. Rough these guys up. They are old and fragile. If we don't see it in game 2, I am targeting the coach.

they are trying to be too pretty on the power play, just get pucks at the net. Playoff goals are not going to be pretty, they are going to be the deflections, or rebounds. I also agree get more physical on the star players, you cant just let forseberg skate around with the puck and sakic stand in front of the net waiting for rebounds.
