One way to read this article is that a hall-of-fame coach has been reduced to babysitting and tutoring the President of the CBJ.

Sigh!

How about color commentary on the radio broadcasts? Why not?

He must stay out of hockey CBJ operations other than scouting.... no team in the NHL will hire him (head coach) after last season. Not because he's a bad coach but because the nature of the new NHL has passed him by.

He needs to scout full time, both in NA and Europe. If he's doesn't like that option then a buy out for half his contract would be a fair compromise.

WoW! It's no wonder why we always get 2nd class coaches and players.

Hitch could add a lot to the depth of this organization. He is a great hockey mind and is respected by a lot of folks in the league. He'd be no worse of an addition to the hockey staff than Tyler Wright.

Hitch's system in the end was not the right fit for the personnel that we have in Columbus but he was the reason that we got out of that basement that MacLean put us in. I hope the organization makes the right call and show the mans some respect. He told Mr. Mac that he came here to do a job and I believe that Hitch wants to finish that job. Make us a world class hockey club.
