2 more points, to me the road trip is a success. They have gotten 10 points out of 14 so far. That to me is huge, and sitting with 68 points at this point of the season is great. I would have loved to see them beat the 2 teams that they lost to on this trip but you can't win them all.

Tonights game had me worried at points. Several of the Hawks did not have a great game. Defense wise I would say that Cam Barker was good, 2 assists on goals was good. The other defensemen were well not there. Campbell and Keith both had bad passes, and couldn't clear the puck. If it wasn't for Khabby oh my. The forwards were playing ok, what happened with buff? I missed the beginning of the game and I didn't notice him was he a scratch?

Kane needs to score a few goals, I can't wait to see him score. The play of Burish is very very good as of late. He has really stepped it up lately. Off to St. Louis, lets close the road trip with a big win.

Not a Campbell before. Still not one after this game.

Got completely dominated in the third period.

Can the Blackhawks please resign Khabibulin. This guy is fantastic when there's a good team in front of him and the Blackhawks are that. It would be tough to see him walk away in free agency.

Can the Hawks please allow Crawford or Niemi a spot next year. Those guys are the future. It would be tough to see them wither away in the ahl.

The Hawks are Lucky to have Campbell. His speed causes alot of problems for the opposition, hes a high scoring defensmen who is underrated defensively. Hes not the best defensive Defensmen by a long shot but all in all when you put his total game together, i am, glad hes on our side.

Nice way to steal a win tonight too. Habby is something else. I wonder what his Career numbers with the Hawks would have looked like IF he had some help the first 3 years??

Nice to have the two points but last night's game doesn't invoke a lot of confidence.

Quenneville said it all during the post-game press conference: "A lot of pucks got through us tonight".

Yes, it happened all over the ice. The Hawks were particularly weak in their own end - especially in the 3rd period. The Thrashers had played the night before - and last night's game was their 3rd in 4 nights. I really hoped the Hawks would dominate as the game went on, but the opposite happened.

Plus you look at the goal at the end of the 2nd period for Atlanta that crossed the line after time had expired (by about 1/2 second), and then the goal mouth scramble early in the 3rd that also resulted in a negated goal for Atlanta (replays showed the puck crossed the line before the goal came off its moorings - the officials must have ruled they'd whistled the play dead because they lost sight of the puck).

In short - a lucky escape for the Hawks last night. They'll need to play better to get 2 points out of St Louis.

Don't look too far behind us - but the Dallas Stars have risen quickly, and the Kings have won 7 of their last 8 - so that 4th seed is far from being a lock just yet.....

Yes, it was ugly, but I'll worry more when they are consistently ugly.

Snippet: Ladd, not heard from all night, was on the far boards, neutral ice, being a huge pain in the backside, during a PK. Doing his job. Nothing spectacular. I don't remember him on the PK before.

Sharpie's interview: another bunch of fluff about how fortunate he is to have teammates that set him up to score, etc. Go ahead, Patrick, claim some credit and put up some points for a pay raise! The whole rest of the sport's world is doing it. Kids! What are you going to do. They're shy.

I wasn't impressed with the ice, last night. It appeared that both sides were having a hard time getting the puck to stay flat.

Kaner's coming on. Buff sat out with Wiz as a bit of a statement, but, I liked the way "Q" put it in the postgame. It didn't sound like making a little kid sit in the corner to think over what he did wrong, while the others get to go out and play. It sounded like he needed to get Johnson and Adams ice time and let Wiz and Buff catch a breather.

The look "Q" has on his face is like he's having a real good time and seems to take it all in stride.

Khabby was great, of course, but I want to see more of Huet. He seems to answer the bell, after Khabby has made a statement. Blues are not, for the Blackhawks. Get it? You get the Blues on Friday th ... oops, wait. I don't think I want to type it or think it. That's what I think.

Yes Dallas and the Kings have been on a winning streak. But for them to catch the Hawks they will have to keep on winning, and the Hawks will have to lose quite a few games. I look at 5th place thru 15th and anyone in the west can still make the playoffs. They are all going to play each other and win some and lose some I don't see the Hawks giving up the 4th spot.

I do want to see the Hawks play alittle better. They should have dominated Atlanta last night. Huet needs a big game on Friday night.

What more does Khabby have to do in order to show Q that he's earned the starting job?
