It's a shame that one of these two crap-ass teams will get their names on the cup. However, the NHL is a league full of pathetic teams so that's what we're stuck with.

The best teams in the league have been golfing for quite sometime now..pitts,wash... Now i find it exciting and encourageing that such a pityful team as the flyers can actually make it to the stanley cup finals. And it should give hope to every fan that is cheering for their local team... Even if your team is not that good,if they make it to the playoffs, they have a chance to win the cup... you never know...Now chicago has been ,all season a team that was one of the favourites to make it to the finals,so that is not as big a deal as the pityfull flys makeing it...

NASCAR is the same crap. Everybody runs the same damn car so you've got teh same parity crap the NHL has. I don't watch hockey but I've still got every right to complain about the pathetic product they put on the ice because I've been a hockey fan for years and want to see the NHL like it used to be. If you consider this "good hockey" you obviously don't know what good hockey is. I'm sure sure you're just another person jumping on the bandwagon that has never actually been on the ice.

People talked about how great Olympic hockey was and wondered if the NHL could capitalize on it. Of course, they didn't because NHL hockey is pathetic in comparison. You actually got to see really good players on the ice together in the Olympics and the game was faster with more scoring because of it. Now people are wondering why the NHL may now allow it's players to compete in the next Olympics. Well, the answer is obvious. The NHL knows the Olympics make their product look like absolute crap so why advertize it further.

The sad thing is that the Hawks aren't much better than they were before the cap was put in place. They are at best a "decent" team. The '92 Hawks team that went to the finals would DESTROY this team. They are just the same cheap crap-ass organization they've always been. Unfortunately, they just changed the rules so now all the other teams have to be cheap-asses as well.

Wrong again...In my mid 40's, I still play on the ice 2 times a week in an A2 division. Not so much a bandwagon fan either, as I did see Makita, Hull, Maki, Redmond, Stapleton, Magnusson and Espo play at the old Madhouse when I was young.

Well, if that's actually true I don't understand how you can't see that the product the NHL puts on the ice now is a completely inferior level of hockey compared to what they had on the ice just five to ten years ago.

Nope, not a Flyers fan at all. The Flyers are actually a pathetic team and it just shows how weak the NHL actually is. They aren't even worthy of being a playoff team let alone a finals team. They probably would have been the worst team in the league prior to the cap. The Hawks are at best a "decent" team but are much better than the Flyers. Five to ten years ago this Hawks team would have been a borderline playoff team at best.

pfffffffffffft, hockey at the beginning of this decade was pretty dull, which is why it is now refered to as "The dead puck era", in which clutching and grabbing was the norm.

That 2003 Devils/Ducks series.... yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww wwn

What could be more fun than watching the Devils defend a 2 goal lead playing the neutral zone (crap) trap from 10 years ago?....ZZZZZ.

Way better action in this year's cup...That guy's wife must be shutting him down like Niemi is shutting down Philly.
