I wouldn't be so sure on Nylander, I've heard other teams signed him as well and not just from Devv. As for Kaberle, sure he had his head down but it was a late hit plain and simple. The thing about suspending a player as long as the other guy is injured isn't just an inquirey about Kaberle, it's so that other guys will think twice about cheap shotting another player before they actually do it. It wouldn't stop cheap shots completely but it would certainly put a drain on the number of them given out each year. It's more about preventing another Steve Moore incident. Eather that or they could just as well take out the instigator rule.

Meh, oh well. What do you think that the NHL should do to crack down on suspensions so less Steve Moore's happen? In all honesty, I don't think a guy like Bertuzzie should be playing.

Hey, what do you think of the Leafs trying to shop Andrew Raycroft? I think the most they can get from him is maybe a 2nd round draft pick. They've tried to trade him this summer but there were no takers.

I think the Leafs need to get Raycroft some time in goal early this season. Nobody wants to take him now, because he had a pretty bad year stat wise last year. The more games he can get in and win early, the more value he'll have overall. Even if the Leafs keep him around, that wouldn't be too bad of a deal either. Look at all the teams that have two goaltenders playing for the number 1 spot. They tend to go further becuase there is time rest both goalies. Toskala should definitely be the starter, but it would not hurt to have a semi competent backup. That's something the Leafs haven't had for a while. I think Raycroft is going to work very hard this year, because he actually has competition for his job.

I do admit, it was a late hit, i just think that the suspension was 2 heavy. Just to tell you, i didn't see the hit live, i was playing hockey downstairs and when I came up, they were showing Kaberle get taken off in the stretcher. im not a homer, it definitely was a late hit. I think that the suspension should be 1 game instead of 3 games.

I actually go there a lot. It's a great site, haha. I'm under a different name there though. Their message boards are really active there. There aren't just Leafs fans, we've got Ottawa, Habs, Canucks, Flyers, Sabres. You can find me as Belfourdaman. For some reason, I'm more a lurker but I got a few posts there. I never really said you were a homer. But I just don't agree on his suspension. He only plays a minute a game if so a one game suspension to a 4th liner who doesn't do much isn't much at all.

Go to mapleleafs.com then look at fan zone. Drag your mouse over fan zone and then there is Leafs Chat. Click on Leafs Chat. That's the message boards. It's a protected forum but if you really want to join, it's a great forum. Really active there. But you got to jooin to take a look. As for me, I never join the forums for other sports. Just a hockey fan. I used to play basketball for 8 years until I had a dick of a coach that ruined it for me.
