A late opportunity comes to nothing

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

The Panthers had a super chance in the final minutes Saturday night to force overtime, steal at least one point and end their horrible streak at the RBC Center.

I didn't get to see the game last night (thanks FSN) and from the outcome I'm glad I didn't. The Panthers have made sucking into a new art form.

If any Jokinen trade rumor were true, I bet Keenan would be behind it. Ollie was his project and he loved the guy. I could see Jokinen and Stumpel for Iginla and Huselius give or take some draft picks. Both teams need a major shake-up right now we need guys who can put the puck in the net.

Right on queue, more excuses from our illustrious GM, Coach, and PR 'guy' Jacques Martin...

He can't believe the video judges overruled the call of the officials on the ice. Boo hoo. If that goal would've been for the Panthers, he would say that it was the right call.

This excuse machine is really getting mundane and tedious. This team needs an awakening, a mjor shake-up that will get everybody playing hard for their jobs.

So far, the only things we fans have to look forward to are: another entry in the first draft pick lottery and Buy One, Get Two tickets for the rest of this season...

No 1st round pick this year.
We NEED to trade for at least one scorer. The entire team is playing on a line that is one line above where they should be in order to be a winning team.

That's where JM blew it with the UFA's. He never picked up a 40-50 goal scorer (Olli is NOT one). More than likely nobody wanted to come here, so maybe it wasn't JM's fault.

Zedo belongs on line 2, Stumpy on line 3, Rad where he is, and McLean is fine on the 4th line with limited TOI.

Hey, Jacque. Maybe you should look at the waiver wire for more checkers as we seem to have soooooooo many scorers to put the biscuit in the basket!! You putz. My cousin was at the game last night and he told me both officials waived the goal off at the same time. He was furious when they went to replay. He said the Panthers were screwed. If both refs called it a no goal it should have never gone upstairs. That's the breaks when you do not make your own. Here come the buy 1 get 2 games free offer that Wounded Panther speaks of.

JM denied that he was involved in the Olli trade issue, but he NEVER said that Sexton wasn't on the phone. Cohen simply said that it was news to him.

Either way he's not the one to trade, it's Stumpy, Ryno, Salei, McLean and Mezei. A package 2 or 3 for 1 or individual, it doesn't matter.

Trade for a scorer and the lines can be Olesz Olli and Scorer, Timmy Weiss and Zed, Ville Kreps and Rad, Booth Soup and Glass or Murray.

D will be JBo BA, Monty and Murph (when he comes back, until then bring up Lojek), Cully with who ever is not sent away from the group of Salei Ryno and Mezei.

Ryno and Salei are each over 3 mil per, so Mezei is logical at 800K.

Package Stumpy with a D (or 2) and off we go.

The locker room is close to revolt because of JM, not because of bogus rumours. The dump and chase NEVER works and JM keeps doing it. I've said this for a long time, and a lot of others here have said it. Howver, numb nuts just doesn't get it.

Cohen pull the trigger, because numb nuts surely never will do it to himself. You really can't be this stupid to believe the trash that he's selling you. Then again you let that idiot Keenan trade Huselius, Hagman, Nilson, let Cullen go, Sim go, and traded Luongo because of a few 100K difference.

I know what you're all thinking, but even I can admit in hind sight that the deal was terrible.
