When you're up here, it's always hockey time. So, with less than 10 hours to go until Islanders fans either rejoice or turn the Coliseum into a battle zone -- I'm kidding, I'm kidding ... How much worse could it look? -- here are some tidbits to keep you going.

If they are set on Duchene (I prefer getting a scorer for once) then Snow should trade down a notch or two and at least acquire an extra couple of picks. If he needs to stay at #1, then at least he needs to try to convince Tampa that he's going for Hedman and maybe can get a mid-range pick just for the promise of not taking Hedman. Duchene will be a good player, maybe a great one, but Tavares is the player the Islanders will need since there's not a big-time scorer anywhere in the system. If it absolutely has to be Duchene, then get some more picks for this year or next.

Of course Burke said the Islanders are leaning towards drafting Duchesne. He's a sleezy GM who's hoping Tavares falls to 2 so he can trade up and grab him. Snow is taking Tavares, it's as simple as that. He knows he needs to give the fans what they want. No more Mad Mike, just Good ole Garth. Just do it!

The Rangers will not trade Staal, Callhan, or Dubinsky. It is not worth the 7.5 cap hit, unless they take Redden or Gomez I might be a little leniant and maybe give them Dubinsky but not the other two. If Tampa does select Hedman then they get a quick fix and could become contenders, if they get a goalie.

Staple you forgot some other rumoured players. Nabokov, Marleau, Cheechoo, Thornton, Lecavlier.

The Islanders need a SNIPER! Draft Tavares. It's so friggin clear......Snow is determined to sink this organization and make it more of a laughing stock than it already is.

If he doesn't draft Tavares, he will be crucified by the fans. Wang might as well move the team tomorrow if Snow picks Duchene. I can't believe it. ONLY Snow would take the #3 person on the list as #1.
