If losing is their goal, they have been quite successful. Kudos to all!

The future of the Isles are 2nd and 3rd line centers, and an injury prone goaltender. The only success to come out of Isles hockey this year is Mark Streit who is regretting coming here in the first place. The Isles rebuilding process does not begin until next year IF they get a top 2 pick out of the lottery.

you are no superstar either, the only thing super about you is the fat you carry. While some of the islanders players are not players known to every hockey fan n the world, some of them are still stars. Buddy keep writing for newsday, that right there proves you are not super.. keep eating too, i hear heart attacks are super!!!

Damn, the way the Isles are going let them have the Canadian and the Swede and throw in a goalie that can play at least 2 games in a row.

Playing for the future? As soon as it arrives, they'll just trade it away.

Please keep on playing the kids. No real fan cares about this year. Trade the veterans (Guerin, Weight) at the deadline for more draft picks. That's what the Islanders should do.

Unfortunately, what they'll probably end up doing is trading the number one pick and bringing back Alexei Yashin and Mike Milbury! Oh God, no!

No matter how bad this year is for an Islander fan, it still beats being a Ranger fan!!!!!

The Isles have little, what can we expect?

The Rags have alot, what a disappointment!!!! They'll be lucky if they win one round in the playoffs (if they makeit).

the isles are a sad sack organization, no team that hires a back up goalie or gives out 15 year deals based on nothing at all is going anywhere but the cellar of the NHL. Wang is getting exactly what he deserves.

Hey Gordon there is no crying in the NHL.If you do not have the right players for your AHL system, then either change the players,or change your system to fit the players. But please stop crying and accept responsibility for your inflexibility. If God gives you lemons don't whine, make lemonade. You have some serious veterans on your team, that have had very successful NHL careers.Employ their wisdom and insight, and just maybe you might become a better coach.

What a goal !! Lose as many games as possible to get #1 pick in the draft.
What a bunch of idiots. I really feel bad for true Islander fans to be cursed with an owner and GM(who sucked as a goalie) who don't have a clue.
Ranger fans are rolling, laughing so hard it hurts. There is nothing Isle fans can say in thier defense.

I love to hear from jealous Islander fans. Let us look at the facts. The Isles play at the Coliseum and the Rangers play at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers play in the greatest city in the world and the Isles are from Uniondale. The Rangers draw more then 8,000 a night no matter what their record is. The Isles have a blimp flying between periods. I can go on and on but I am getting typing.
