Great, 14 more years of a wild, injury-prone goalie.

Di Pietro improved his play immeasurably this year. The fact he was injured and still played well is indicative of his character and desire to win.

It's also indicative of the Islander organizations stupidy to allow their "15 year man," to play with an injury severe enough to need surgery. There is such a thing as protecting your assets!!. Its just mind-boggling that they would put a few playoff game receipts above the welfare of the player they have deemed the face of the franchise!!!

Obviously you have never played hockey. If you can't play hurt, you can't play at all.

Playing hurt and playing injured are 2 different things. For the amount of money and years invested in him, it was reckless for the orginization to let him play with a serious injury. Be real, we're talking about a hip injury to a goalie!!! And Snow is (or was) a goalie!!! So now they have a goalie who has had concussions and a hip injury, before his 30th birthday. Let alone the fact that it happened during the first year of a 15 year contract. Indefensable!!!!!!!

Usually people undergoing Hip replacement either active in sports or are aging and the causes of this because of fractured hips that may lead to hip pains that triggers people to undergo surgery using titanium. http://www.depuypinnaclelawsuit.com/recall
