I was pretty sure that first "Dino" post wasn't you. I do think the guy who posts as ISLES is likely a young kid. He lacks the honest cynicism of age... for either team.
Thanks Rob. He has done it before (and accidentally got caught when he continued to post under the Dino name while thinking he had switched to ISLES)

I havent spoken to you in a while. Are you excited about next season? By next month the whole lighthouse thing should be resolved one way or another, and now the Isles have someone to build around. There is a light at the end of the tunnel

I'm always excited about next season. Win or lose, I still love to see some hockey and just maybe the Isles are on the right track now after finally bottoming out.

I made it back to NY for an Isles home game back in February for the first time in several years. I might try to get back there again this year. I hope the tix are actually harder to come by but I doubt it will be too difficult.

I wonder how many people who are clamoring for Tanguay have watched him play much? or they just recognize the name. While in the past he might have been a slighty better than average player he is only average now. My point being let the Rags over pay for his services...the Isles do not need him!Come on 5 mill + not worth the cash. I say make a trade or sign Kessel when he becoms a rfa.

I can see a big increase in attendance this year, especially in the early going. If they play competitively then it should last the season.

While Tanguay is not worth 5 million, the isles can afford to overpay, and may need to overpay to secure any free agent. Why else would a veteran agree to come to a rebuilding team? The Isles actually have too much cap space right now

You seem obsessed with isles. It's obvious that you've begun posting under Isles' name, so don't accuse him of posting under yours.
I think Tavares will be good for 20-25 goals this year, with the majority scored in the second half of the year.

And I didnt just accuse him of posting under mine. The moron basically was caught in the act

I understand that point; however why not overpay a good player. I have watched Tanguay play for along time and he just is not even worth 2 million.

He never scored more than 29 goals in a season.

Unfortunately, now a days 2 million buys you 18 goal scorers apparently. Wait till they redo the cap again in two years. I mean I have come to expect it from Sather, but now all the GMS are being stupid

Funny because I would not be suprised if 18 - 20 goals is what Tanguay ends up with this season. I just can not take him as a player he is soft and not what the Isles need. But you are right so far as GM's go.

I still think the first thing the isles MUST get is a quality enforcer(and they usually come cheap anyway). I dont know who is available, but the atlantic is filled with goons now, pronger, and now brashear (ugh) on my team.

Hey if I could give some older guys 1-2 year deals on the isles, Id just overpay them and start to build a culture change by winning a little more. Then when its time to make the bigger jump, you wont have a long contract to worry about.

For a cool $2 million a season, I'll be sure to light the lamp 25 times!
