If the Islanders win today and lose the remainding games they will not tie their season worst of 12-60 back in 72-73...although there were only 78 games then....but does it really matter?

Once again could Snow/Gordon & Wang please explain what their vision was again for this team, and how they were going to be contenders this year?

Can someone post a stat of how many times the Islanders miss the net? I've never seen a team take so many shot an not even come close.

Garth Snow needs to move vets for young scorers and solid stay home d men.

lets hope he stays away from dealing for 3rd round picks and brings in young players that are NHL ready now.

For those who watched the game-It wasnt Yanni's solid goal tending that kept the Caps off the board... it was the system. The Caps rarely had a rushes into the Isles zone. Gordon is right-the first goal was a soft goal.

Get rid of the veterans so Gordon can coach the youngsters...
