TIM - as a former ref and umpire I repudiate your call for pelting the refs. Stop that unethical and stupid talk. Pelting the refs will not help any team, and that's way too serious and idiotic to even mention, let alone twice. The NHL has ref reviews at the end of the season - let Dale handle it. I repeat - stop calling for retaliation on the refs. Need anger management classes before things get out of hand and our team suffers. Nuff sed.

does it seem like toronto has it in for the hawks? blatantly awful officiating the last several games. seemed the nhl deemed last night to be a victory for the pens to get them into the playoffs before the game even started. i know its an nba conspiracy.
what do you think dr. j? your the certified smart guy here.
these pens fans all act like dr.j delivered crosby and malkin from infancy. heres the reality pens fans...sidney doesnt know you or care about you.

What role? A turnover machine in the defensive zone? Campbell was (FINALLY!!) ousted from the first PP unit by Q with Wiz. Look what happened?! Three PP goals, because unlike Campbell, Wiz is actually a threat to pull the trigger. That also obviously influenced Barker to shoot from the point more, instead of playing more hot potatos with Kane.

Still on Campbell's case? Still don't under stand his role? One games plus/minus stat isn't the measuring stick for a whole season.
By the way I do agree with your take on the Toews- Keith scenario for next year. Losing either one and we are back to square one again.

Brian Campbell stats ytd among Nhl defencemen;
Points-9th
Assists 3rd
Goals 8th.
His is the role of an offensive d-man. basing your comments on one game shows you really don't know what you are talking about. His assists show he is doing his job to set up goal scorers. He also is the guy to move the puck out of our zone and carry it up ice which he does. He never was a goal scorer and the Hawks and most other fans knew that before we signed him.He is doing what was expected and what he was brought on board to do.

The league office is in New York not Toronto. Why would the NHL want the Pens in the play offs rather then Chicago which is one of the biggest markets in the USA.The fix is not in. The refs and Toronto play reviewers have not been instructed to shaft the Hawks.

First you are from AR so I feel sorry for you. Look I have had enough of the stupid refs and I would have loved to see them get pelted and could care less what you think. The calls have been horrible and many of the penalities happen in front of their faces. Now someone with anger management issues would say to hit the ref in the head with the stick. I say and I REPEAT that the refs need to be held accountable for their actions. We are getting sick and tired of the refs giving away games cause they are too stupid or lazy to get it right. If you are offended oh well then come up here and ref a game in the league I play in. You would not last 1 game.

Thanks Paul! I'm on here between games in a local tournament. Only have a minute. A few thoughts: Tim most certainly did not literally mean pelt the officials. I know him, he is a good hockey guy and is frustrated. In my opinion, Campbell is doing what he was signed to do, as Paul stated. The amount he is being paid may be excessive, but let's face it, they all are! To Tony: Get those skates laced up and head for the bay to do some skating bud. Back to the tournament.(Hope I'm home early enough to watch Hockey Night In Canada) HAVE A NICE EVENING BOYS!

What is your point Doc? Crosby is great so is Malkin so is Ovetchkin ( sp) and quite a few others in the NHL. THe Pens are off of last years pace and the Hawks have improved and their fans are excited about it. Lighten up man it's a game!
Paul, I really doubt that he is a doc. I am not even going to say what I think he is. I do agree it is a game, I just get sick of people coming here after their team wins and try to give us greif. I will say that I am really fed up with the NHL officials, I do hope that they fire or suspend several of them. They don't deserve to wear the stripes

Tim I think some of those guys just like to pull our chain. Pittsburgh is having a bad year and they just like to annoy other teams fans when they win. The Hawks are an improving team and are just going to keep getting better but I agree with you these guys can really tee me off when they show up on a Hawks blog once a year just to be jerks. Anyway we will be in the playoffs and the Pens may not and to us guys that is all that really matters. GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!
