The Hawks are doing great. However, to compete with San Jose and Detroit we need another top flight center. Anyone being shopped besides Sudin?
Would Sundin be such a cancer in the Hawks organization?
Any thoughts out the there in Hawk's Town?
He wouldn't be a cancer.Sundin simply will not fit because of the salary cap..According to TSN It's down to the Rangers and the Canucks for his services. IMO as long as the Hawks keep winning the less likely you'll see a trade at least until the deadline...

Sundin is less than ideal but he certainly would be better than Nylander. It amazes me people think that guy could be a cure all for the Hawks.

But they do need another center. Sharp is playing great but isnt a natural and our faceoff percentage is awful.

I would agree but Tallon's job is on the line and he might feel pressure to make a deal. The Buff-Sopel for Nylander seems to be talked about the most. I like Buff but he looks lost on the wing to me. Sopel is slow and not worth the cash so Id have no problem dealing him and maybe moving back Buff.

I don't know if he called it or not, but the freak play was by far the most exciting moment of the game as a Columbus player batted the rink length shot down at the Blackhawk Blue Line while it continued into his own empty net. BTW, where is the Tribune's story today on Sean Avery who Dallas is letting go after his suspension?
To correct myself a wee bit ........ while Seabrook's goal in the closing seconds was spectacular to those in attendance, due to noones fault, it was not nearly as exciting on the tv replay this afternoon as it was in person last night. I do stand by my statement that it was by far the spectacular play of the game.

Sundin is a classy guy. He would be a positive for whatever team he signs with. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Rangers blue or with the Canocks if he returns to Canada.

I think it would be a big mistake to bring in Nylander but i'd have no problem getting rid of Sopel. Buff's been playing a lot better of late but with Wiz and then Johnson coming back I don't think putting Buff back on D is an option....I totally agree with your earlier post that the Hawks will need that 2nd line center (Sharp back on wing) but right now although with the slow starts the Hawks have been getting game to game they're still winning and if it ain't broke don't fix it. We all know Tallon isn't going to rush into anything and so far no injuries to any of our top forwards...Eh, a lot can change week to week with losing streaks ect ect..

Nylander is a great skater and stickhandler, but there is no way that Tallon should trade the 23 year old Buffuglien for an old timer like him.

They are too deep in D to put Buff back on D. I do think they should send Barker back down, especially now that Wiz is coming back.

Lord Stanley's Silver "Chalice" is the goal and there won't be anything left on the ice until the kids are circling the UC ice, with it hoisted over their heads!

How about that for a picture that makes you absolutely giddy or with tears in your eyes!

Should we be giving up on Cam, just yet? I want to see more of him, Buff, Wiz and Johnson. H3ll, I want them all, even Burish, Walker, Frasier (sp?), et al. Why can't I? Even friggin' Sopel put in some good shifts lately. I don't want to let any of them go! PLEASE? I managed to forget about Aaron, Wiz and Burish, while we were winning these games without them. I'm going to burn in hockey-fan h3ll, because of it, aren't I?

OK, I'll be quiet now. I trust John, Dale, Rocky and "Q" to make the selections.... Maybe!

I just think that since we are so deep on the blue-line and Barker is still young, he needs to develop a little more.
By the way, you better copyright your name. Blago is trying to take over that name as soon as he goes to prison...

It's RamRod, not the other way around! ;-)

I haven't really been paying attention to Barker this year. I guess that's telling in itself. Last year, he was erratic, but, his good shifts were really good. I figured that eventually he would absorb the developing chemistry of the team and be something special, not unlike Keith. Maybe that's too special to expect, because Duncan's the goods.
