Thin the Herd: It sure isn't you. In my humble opinion, you are a good hockey guy and I appreciate your commentary. I probably shouldn't have said what I did unless I have the courage to call the individual out. I will next time. Hey, there are probably a lot who post on here who don't like my opinions. I got a bit angry and got carried away. My apologies to all.

Since my remarks generally fall into the "GM wannabe" catagory (for which I, of course, am supremely qualified!:)), I'll assume it's not me. Although I'm sure people read some of my post and scratch their heads. The level of angst / frustration is showing, but it sure does make for a spirited thread!
I'm getting ready to watch St. Louis vs Vancouver. I can't believe I have to root for the Blues! If they win, we still have a game in hand, but they have a point in hand. Which is better?

BFM I am with you on that, rooting for the Blues, oh well it is for one game so I guess I can do that. I am going to be on the edge of my seat tomorrow night at the UC. I want to see them win, and win big

No need to apologize, Chico. First, I'm egotistical enough to figure it wasn't me <grin>, and second there are a few folks who post here only when the Hawks lose. Always enjoy your comments whether I agree with them or not.

That's why it's a discussion board and not an agreement board.

It may be only one game, but it still sticks in my craw!

Did anyone see Edmonton smoke the Avs? Hope the Oilers used all their scoring mojo tonight.

No need to apologise. If you disagree strongly with a post offer a rebuttal. We all have developed thick skins over the years and if we deal out criticism we should be able to takeit as well. The exchange of opinions is what makes blogs interesting. In the meantime I think we all agree that the last while has been frustrating for us fans and the players as well. IT will end when we beat the Oilers tonight.GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks St. Louis, for nothing.
Remember last year when we were chasing Nashville and St. Louis blew a 3-0 lead to the Preds late in the year?
I totally realize that relying on other teams to do your dirty work is for losers. The Hawks still control their own destiny. They have to turn this around tonight.
I remember in March last season the Hawks ran the Canucks out of the UC. By the middle of the game Vancouver wasn't even competing, acting like they didn't want to be there. Lately when I watch them they're running around like the '75 Flyers, hitting everything in sight. They are going to be tough to handle a week from Sunday and a tough matchup for anybody in the playoffs.

Amazing commentary by a wannabe NHL coach. I understand the frustration, but some of the analysis is laughable. I'm sure the Blackhawks management needs your help, especially because they are at the professional level and your long hockey career and expertise is so insightful. I'm aiming this at one individual in particular. lol
OOOOUUCH !!!

(Big Bad RamRod down behind couch opposite laptop, calling out "INCOMING!")

Of course it isn't me. I don't say anything definitively enough to be a target for strike.

Actually, there are those that do come on here, most especially after a tough loss, that you don't see around while we're dancing in the streets. There isn't anything positive to be said about any aspect of the Blackhawk organization, for them. I ignore them. I'm much more intelligent and insightful than ... uh,... oh, sorry ... my alter-ego!

Tonight (3-20-09, first day of Spring) I look for Eager & Burish to do something! That's my GM perspective.

Labatts has been sold to another major brewery and terms of the sale doesn't allow sale of Labatts in the USA. WE need to to do something about this outrage becase we send several million cases to the US each year. This move will hurt the company and we need our American Labatts drinkers to come to our rescue.

What !?!?!

Screw the company! What about me!(I live in Obama land, now. Yeh, right, I wonder if Barry knows about this?) There is no substitute! My Samsung HDTV can only withstand LaBatt's!

Wait ... You're dorking me, right? I think they know my purchasing power and wouldn't dare try to muddle through without my share of their market! Yaaaa, DAMNIT, they wouldn't ......oh, sorry kids, I didn't see you there ....

I guess I'll have to stop and get more than the usual 12 cases for this week.

Damnit!. uh, sorry.

For SHAME on you, Paully! Scaring the livin' bejeesus out of a war-weary Hawks fan with your LaBatt's Beer news.

Did some research (very uncharacteristic of me, but, this was worth it). Turns out that InBev AB, recent purchasers of Anheiser-Busch, were forced by the FTC to divest themselves of LaBatt's US operations, only, to avoid anti-trust violations in upstate New York where, I guess, it would've been your choice of Bud, Becks, LaBatts or Stella Artois and little else, all owned by InBev AB. In my view that doesn't sound so bad, but that's because it includes LaBatts and don't care what else is available.

Bottom line: I think I already mentioned a week long shortage of LaBatts Blue a couple of weeks ago and that was during the transition. The US part, that was sold, is all that was sold. London's part of LaBatts is still under InBev AB.

That's my interpretation of the Assoc Press release.

See, the LaBatt's that I love, hasn't come from London all this time. Shame really. London, LaBatts, Aliu (I think) all being there with you kind of makes for a nifty Karma thing, you know?

Good news on Labatts. I just wanted to get my American friends on side in case our US market was going to be lost. I know you folks down there wouldn't put up with anyone meddling with your Canadian beer!

LABATTS IS CANADIAN?

Yikes!

I have a list of good things coming from Canada, not the least of which is LaBatt's Blue. The rest of the list is lengthy (Can anybody say Eilleen Regina Edwards? Oh, sorry, Shania Twain to the rest of the country). Let's get back to hockey.

5/2 sounds very doable.

I say turn the "kids" loose and see what happens. "In chaos, there is profit"

Another thing on LaBatts; some of the US entity, now owned by KPS something or other, is in Canada, just not London. So, it is still a Canadian brew that I'm proposing to chug a bunch of, during the game tonight.
