As far as failed experiments go, the Blackhawks' attempt to move Patrick Kane to center didn't exactly rank along the lines of a faulty particle accelerator.

Getting rid of Lang was in inexcusable move by Tallon that smacks of the Bill Wirtz era. Prospects are going to carry this team, but every good playoff team must have a couple of veteran scorers. Patrick Sharp is not guaranteed to repeat last year's performance--certainly not at an unfamiliar position--and Lang came up particularly clutch against the Wings last season. He will be sorely missed.

Sharp came up as a center but his production would be better served on the wing. Kontiola has pretty much dissapeared in camp and in games so for now Savy's stuck experimenting trying to find a #2 center with Bolland and Burish as your #3 & #4..

"Understanding where to be in your own zone really takes some time and development to learn."

I think I said this a few days ago...haha. Kane is not defensively sound and would be out of position in our own zone.
