What a game tonight, the fans were rockin before the game even started. The Hawks came out to a standing ovation and the fans chanting. Everyone was in the game especially in the 1st period when they took the 3-1 lead. Lalime was lights out, the goal that Nashville scrored was only cause Zuzyn screwed up. Then after the game they gave away the Jerseys that they had worn. I was not one of the lucky ones, but they had a standing ovation for the last 1:10 of the game. This team is good, and I am so looking forward to next year. The only thing that I really want is that when they get a lead, they do not let off the gas. But I really think that they wanted to win it for the fans. This was the 13th sell out of the year. And who would have thought that the Hawks would have won 40 games, 88 points and for now at least be in 9th place. And listening to the post game report on my way home it was great to hear the players like Burish and Toews say there are no excuses for them to not make the playoffs, and that they are pissed off that they missed them this year. But they are thrilled to have the fans pack the house and be as loud as we are. The 300 level rocks the UC. Hats off to Rocky, John, Dale, Savy, the team, and the fans. I have to say it once again:

6/16 - Jassen Cullimore is GONE
6/21 - Adrain Aucoin is GONE
6/22 - Kane is selected by the Hawks
9/29 - Bill Wirtz Died
1/28 - Savy said "Commit to the Indian"
2/13 - Hawks announce 1st Convention
3/1 - All 82 games for next year will be on TV
3/2 - Hawks beat Detroit in season series

The Hockey Gods have smiled on Chicago again.

This is the best they've looked in YEARS!! Savvy is doing a great job, and hopefully next year at this time we'll have a spot secured in the playoffs!

Keep the legs moving boys! This finish shows the winning attitude that this group of players has. Yeah, it's disappointing, but we know the future is going to be something else next year. Great description Tim. Thanks for taking us there! Tim: We didn't get tickets for the convention. However, we will be around that weekend. We can visit possibly outside the hotel for a bit. I'll talk to you later on email about it. Tony, Chuck and hockey chick: GO HAWKS!!!

Tim-thanks for the description. I just wish this one could have been on t.v. so I could have experienced the atmosphere. Looking forward to next season.

Usually I just bypass the articles and head straight to the comments which is way better than what is written.

I really did not like the article or the title. Too little too late?? the place was crazy last night, where was the writer of this article sitting?? I was in section 324, row 11 seat 21. And that place was on fire. When they sung the National Ant. the place was so loud. I have to say the best thing for me was this. 5 minutes before the game starts they show the Hawks stuff on the scoreboard. People in the 300 level were chanting "Lets Go HAwks" and we were all on our feet screaming and clapping. Then with alittle over a minute we were really loud. The team came out and the place went nuts. After the game both Toews and Burish said that they heard the fans before they came out of the tunnel. THAT is home field advantage. Chico - I believe that I will still have 1-2 extra tickets for the convention. I am not 100% sure just yet, I will email you later ok. And thanks everyone for the comments about taking you to the game last night in my description. I do have to say that the Trib needs to do a better job with the Hawks. They have spelled players names wrong and made other errors. I know my spelling is bad at times too, but I am not a writer for a national paper. LETS GO HAWKS, Kick Detroilet in the teeth.

DETROIT SUCKS, our kids can play. I can already smell the playoffs for next year. DETROIT SUCKS and so do their fans, DETROIT SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Not a 'Hawks fan. I'm a Preds fan. I have to say, though, you guys have got a good foundation for next year. Great season. We did better than I thought we would but you guys did too. In fact, the 'Hawks had a better record versus the Preds than Detroit did. Next year should be interesting in our division. I hope we beat you guys but I hope we both beat the Red Wings.

Kudos for a big improvement both on and off the ice. While wearing my Hawks jersey @ the Joe or the new Tiger Stadium nobody laughs at me anymore. I also enjoy the comments by section 319 and the other regulars to the Hawks columns. I am looking forward to the 2008 - 2009 season.
