I notice that Quenneville doesn't mention a defenseman as a trade wish.

Most of the league GM's etc think the Hawks have one of the very best D corp going, and likely to be the best in a year or two.

Pronger has his qualities, but also has some problems. He's undisciplined often, taking bad penalties and suspensions. He never seems happy in one place for long.

The Hawks aren't going to win the Cup this year, Pronger or no. This will be a year to get playoff experience, and learn what it takes to go deep into them. A first round win and a long second round series (win or lose) is a realistic expectation for our young team.

I'd rather see a solid, gritty center ice guy who wins face-offs. That's a higher priority than possibly improving an already very good blue line.
