The Chicago Blackhawks are in last place in the Central, a cool 33 points and 1000 light years behind the Detroit Red Wings...but they'll take a point tonight...a much needed, badly needed, single point...improvement...? That's just plain rubbish...

Very, very outside chance still. I'm remaining a Blackhawk fan through it all. Hate to say it, but they are going to get another top pick. Some day this is all going to work out. The band wagon is a lot light lighter than it was a few months ago. The effort was there yesterday.

can someone tell me how cam barker can be a shooter in a shootout? What is savard going to do next have Patrick Lalime shoot? I think Denny is losing it with team.

Can you say draft lottery? My guess is that the Hawks will be battleing the Kings to stay out of the 15 hole.

I watched the game and eventhough they were in the game, they need more shots on goal. When it got to OT I thought that they played too lose to the vest. Then in the shootout to put Cam Barker in I was thinking what is going on here? They have Ruttu, Skille, and others that can take that shot. I guess that during practice Cam showed them that he can make that shot. I think that Marc is now calling himself Keenan, well they are 8 points out of the 8th spot. They are the 13th seeded team at this point in the Western conference. Against San Jose I will take a point I thought they were going to lose the game. They need to pick it up and get the 2 points in regulation coming up in the next month. They are saying that Williams and Toews should be coming back soon, lets hope so. Don't give up on them yet there is still plenty of hockey left and there is still a chance

What? Cam Barker in the shootout with the game on the line?
Is Savard trying to get fired?

I think Savard has a strange fascination with defensemen. He likes to dress as many as possible and use them as wingers and apparently now he likes to use them in shootouts when points are at a premium...Go figure.

It was amazing to see Barker take that final shot with a point on the line. He obviously had no clue what to do but that's not his fault. I am losing faith in Savard as a head coach. It's bad decisions like this that cost the team points when they HAVE to have them. I can't believe he thought Barker gave them the best chance to score in that situation.
