I feel that Mike Gillis will stand pat and not dangle Cory S. as trade bait due to lack of urgency. To think a premium goalie trade will solve the riddle of capturing Stanley at this time is shallow. As long as a team is in contention, good hockey will follow.Detoit has been a contender for the better of two decades and fans love their team for it.Winning Stanley would be the icing on the cake, but real hockey fans love a great season. The Canucks are already there.Mike G. has shown great patience and should be allowed to flex all his options in good time.Injuries plague all teams and reducing them is more important, and that responibility belongs to the league and Brendan Shanahan.
