Can we lose the rest of the season, get a super star in the draft and have That super star, Okposo and Dipietro be our core for the next 10 years? Thank you.

Agreed. The thought of the isles making a drive towards the 8th seed again and another quick exit does not inspire me. They need to build toward a legitimate contender in the next few years.

"Nolan was pleased with his defense, which just had six players dressed instead of the usual nine, in Toronto."
Well done, Newsday.

Hearing Snow may have offered both 2nd round 2008 picks and Satan for Hossa. I could live with that as long as we keep our fisrt round pick. Atlanta probably would want more.Com rie will probably be tradedat the deadline unless Comrie can commit to a long term deal. We would get nothing for him if he opts to test the free agent waters again.

Lets please not trade for Hossa. Well if its for two 2nd rounds picks (one probably coming from boston for nokelinan) isnt the worst trade. I mean its no Smyth trade which I said was AWFUL at the time! However, The islanders making a run doesnt enspire me other then proving the critics wrong and possibly joining or knocking out the ranger$ in the playoffs. Remember we do play them another 4 times. But I agree Dp, Okposo, and a top 5 pick this year to build ur team around would be great. That if Okposo lives up to the billing which is possible and that they get a good player this year. If the islanders finish last or 2nd to last in the conference there is a good chance they can get a #1 pick and 90% of #1 picks are all-stars it seems. Id definitely rather have that. Satan will obviously be traded. BUt what about fedetenko the guy makes 2.9 mill and has been playing well lately. Maybe we can get something for him now since hes done nothing for the previous 30 games. Id like to keep Comrie in all honestly as well as Hunter bc the guy hits. SO trade satan, Fedetenko, and maybe one more player but please stay away from Hossa. The guy is going to want like 6 years at 50 million. He's good but he wont be with kovalchuk and remember he had 100 points last season. Right now he has 52 so he is way below last years pace.

the difference is when you have a goalie who actually performs well in the playoffs and games leading up to it, you have a chance

Why are you so obsessed with the Islanders? Did you ask one of the players out on a date and he turned you down or something? Get a life loser no one cares about the Rangers. PS Congratulations on all of your (overpaid) offseason aquisitions, they've really helped your team get better. hahahahaha

no one cares about the rangers? thats all you islanders fans talk about

our team sucks but wait the rangers arent in first place and they spent money so that gives us an excuse to forget about us not winning a playoff series in almost 20 years yay

Our goalie gives up 4 goals a game but wait the rangers have a goalie who struggled for 2 months and makes 2 million more yay

You guys are hilarious...you love to dish but cant take the heat

as fickle as the architecture in the masoleum

Its sad when a team spends 4x as much as another and STILL cant make the playoffs. Why dont you worry about your own team Rag$ fans and stop posting under articles about another team. LOL and beating a crap team like Buffalo means nothing. Why dont you try beating someone like oh I dont know US! Go spend more money -maybe you can throw enough money at Henrik to make him think he can be as good as DP. You're a joke!

funny...you must not be able to add...we have a payroll 10 million more than the islanders , thats not 4 times more unless the sticks put 2.5 million worth of talent on the ice

which they do but thats besides the point because thats not how much they spend

try again fool

as for henrik not being as good as dp

the shutouts dont lie
the shooting percentage doesnt lie
the goals against average doesnt lie
the wins dont lie
the vezina nominations dont lie

the red light being on all the time behind dp doesnt lie

Wow you are horrible at making arguments
