"...And who knows, maybe we shattered a little bit of his confidence."

Wow, young and utterly delusional as well. I forsee both teams playing much better in game 2 but let's face it, the Canucks played their worst game yet of these playoffs, all about the long break, not the Blackhawks and they *still* won.

The Canucks fans scour the Chicago papers, looking for references that will let them stroke more than their ego.

Hawks in 6.
Burrows out after game 4.

Now as a person who is a resident of both cities. I am going say one thing...Roberto Luongo's confidence is not "shattered". In fact, I think in saying such things publicly, Kane might have jinxed himself.

Case in point: Todd Bertuzzi(Then of the Canucks)told Willie Mitchell (then of the Wild) to not bother packing his suitcase, there will be no trip back to Minnesota with a 3-1 series lead.

Canucks lost that series in Game 7.

Say the right things, Karma will come back and bite you in the derriere.

Khabibulin hasn't beaten this organization since 1996, you think there is a curse? He was still a Coyote when that happened.

It's ok, Calgary fans aready predicted a sweep for the Hawks, looks like their hopes and dreams were already shattered.

Luongo is the best goalie in the NHL...every analyst or true hockey fan know that.

The Young Hwks got to Luongo in the 3rd. The guy was yapping at everyone after he gave up his 2nd and 3rd goals in that period (watch Tape of the game). He was frustrated. Kane may have been right. All you Canuck fans just wait, you will soon see and learn what Calgary did. These Hawks are very Young and having a good time, They are VERY talented and Bulin Wall will Rise when we need him. Hawks in 7.

Last thing. Luongo is a Monster in the Nest, everyone knows that. But all through life there have been occasions when Monsters get beaten by Kids. This will be one of them.

Without Luongo in the first 10 Minutes of game 1 the game would have PROBABLY been the Hawks so i know the guy is Magnificent but.... the 3rd period hyped these kids up. They dont know any better and frankly dont care. They are extremely talented and on a Mission from Chicago.

NHL.com and Tim Sasson at the Daily Herald both are reporting Toews has the flu.

Doesn't surprise me, as it's rare that only one person in a locker room ends up with it.

Not an excuse, as every team has injuries, etc. With Kane heating up and Toews back at full strength, the Hawks are going to cause all kinds of headaches for Luongo and his defense.

I see the Canucks fan's bubble bursting tonight.

That's "fans'"

I know they have more than one.

As an aside, I lived in Seattle back in 1994, when the Canucks came up a goal short of the Cup. I didn't get to go to a Finals game, but it was fun watching the city go crazy. Of course, since I'm a lifelong Hawks fan, I have the gene to hate every other Original 6 team.

Got a chance to meet Stan Smyl a couple years later at a charity golf outing in Seattle. What a class guy. Like lots of hockey players.

Somewhat unrelated but I have to fit it in somewhere since no one here will open this can of worms...I remember the whole chaos that followed that cheap Moore guy's hit on Naslund some years ago. Who was behind Colorado's bench when that happened? The Queer that now coaches the Hawks. The NHL was hoping that, by making Bertuzzi a scape goat at the end, that the Justice has been served. Check this Eager think brewing during this series , then you know who needs to be blamed. I'll say it again... Quenneville!!! And after the dirty hit on Naslund, the broadcaster at the time didn’t even had the balls to put the Queer on the camera. All you could see from that footage was the other genius called Granato. That 'Einstein' kept Moore all the way during the game when Bertuzzi exploded to make justice( that he was thinking necessary at that point and we all are blaming him for it). What a door mat Quenneville is! No more Moore for him but, how about Eager! Same dirty coach, new victims on the ice. Go Canucks! Go!

Go down 2-0 and 87% of the teams lose the series. It's do or die and the pressure is all on those wee Hawks. They are to green to handle the big bad Nucks. No offside goals this time for your Blackcawks!

Talking about offsides, there were several plays that the Canucks had that they were offsides. Also there were several penalities there were not called that should have sent the Cancuks to the penality box. That was game 1 it is over and done with and the Hawks are going to get ready to play them again tonight. The Hawks can beat Luongo, Hawks win tonight.

Nest works...Have you ever seen Rodan. or The Giant Claw.

Anyway Luongo is a good goalie and the nucks are a solid team. It won't be easy but the Hawks are gonna win this thing. And when they move up to the semifinals they will be that much better. If the Canucks get any more over confident and sit on their hands like the did in the third. WATCH AND LEARN

Let's see. You can't talk about hockey because there are no positives from your side. Oh well. You Yanks are yappy even after a loss. Here's hoping you don't win one because this site will crash.
