Good way to screw up the team chemistry-first screw Havlat, then screw Tallon. If it's not broke, don't fix it! At least last year was great, can't say I'm too thrilled about this one.

The Hawks are a one of a kind organization, absolute class. Clearly the players aren't happy with this decision and a majority of the fans are livid. We do not want our team screwed up over Mcdonough's ego. Come on Rocky, you know better.

from Martin Havlat on TSN.CA

Havlat wants to clear the air and set the record straight and has offered his thoughts exclusively to TSN.ca on a number of issues he observed while in Chicago, starting with his failed negotiation.
"My negotiation with Chicago was not between Dale and my agent, it was between Dale and McDonough," Havlat said "Why? Because McDonough couldn't stand that Dale was so successful and getting the credit for building the Hawks from a last place team to making the Conference Final in three short years. Remember, we were also the youngest team in the NHL last year."
"I was too closely identified with Dale," he continued. "McDonough knew long ago he was going to fire Dale. He wanted someone he could claim as his own He wanted to stand up at the convention and claim credit for signing this guy or that guy."
Havlat's candor won't be easily accepted by the Blackhawks, and there may be claims of this being nothing more than the backlash of a jilted player, but Havlat's appreciation for Dale Tallon is what drove him to speak up mere hours after Tallon's firing was confirmed.
"Dale and I were very close and I stand for loyalty. The players loved Dale and they are with him. Every single player on that team is with Dale. I still talk to the guys all the time, hockey players know a phony when they see one."
"I was part of a very special team but that team doesn't exist anymore. I am really disappointed that Rocky Wirtz would let something like this happen," Havlat told TSN.ca.
Havlat's parting request follows up on a tweet sent on Tuesday. A challenge for the Blackhawks faithful who may share his views on Chicago's future.
"It's up to the fans now to be heard on this. If you care about the direction of the team, do something about it," Havlat concluded.

As much as I'm unhappy about the recent questionable decisions made in the front office, how can you not be excited about the team itself? I can't wait for the season to start! Not only do we have a very exciting roster, but this season can't get here fast enough with all the off-ice drama. Plain and simple, winning will heal all these wounds.

Where do I start.

It's been quite some time since being this excited about the Hawks. Last year was fantastic and I expected great things ahead. Then McDonough starts to screw up the whole thing and FIRES Dale Tallon. This brings back terrible memories when the Hawks let Bobby leave for Winnipeg.

Although the knife in the back is not as deep, we are still getting stabbed again.

I hope Dale reads some of these comments as I want to wish him well. He did his job and did it well. This BS about late contracts is just that...BS! Dale will get another job and I hope it haunts McDonough forever.

Thanks again Dale. You will be missed not only by the players but by us fans as well.

Come on Rocky, start thinking of Hawk supporters again. You made great moves when taking over the Hawks. Now this! Dale brought us back to the good old days... Remember the ROARRRRRRRRR!

I don't feel the same about next year like I did last week. It seems like I've been here before.

Like Yogi said, "this seems like déjàvu all over again."
