Congratulations, Blackhawks! Great game and so glad that you beat the Canucks and are going on to the finals. Kane was great getting the hat trick. A great day for Chicago and its hockey legacy.

Wish I could have been there in the UC to hear the crowd those last few seconds. You gotta love these kids, playing like they've been there before. I don't want the Red Wings-Ducks series to go to 7 games, I want the Hawks to keep their momentum and desire on edge and keep this train rolling.

I hope this rubs off on the Cubs, they need to learn how to play loose and free in the playoffs, not with sphincters clutched.

I been a lifelong Red Wings fan and I'm looking forward to a Wings/Hawks conference final.

I really like the young guys on the Hawks. They have no fear, and a lot of talent. I watched several of the games (they are on CBC here) and all of last night's game.

We attended a Wings/Hawks game in Chicago last fall and I can vouch for the noise at the United Center. It was lots of fun.

If the Wings don't win it this year I hope it's the Hawks. I'm getting a little tired of the Sydney Crosby hype. How about a little recognition for Toews, Sharp and Kane (what a great bckhand in the 3rd period).

Nine posts in 6 hours?

This answers the age old question, "If a tree falls in the forrest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?"

The crowd at the UC last night still can't hear the question.

Congrats to the Blackhawks.

I was one of the doubters who in January said the Hawks were no better than the 11th best team in the league.

Wow, was I wrong. This team has the heart of the champion. I only wish there was a way financially to keep it together.

I just hope this series shuts up all the doom and gloom people on the Black Hawks forum boards (the majority of the fans on the boards have tried). There were idiots that wanted to trade Havlat, said Kane was a bust, and Byfuglien was a wimp. I don't care what happens after this series because for me everything from here is icing on the cake. Four years ago if I were to say the Hawks would be in the conference finals in 2009, I would have been locked up in the loony bin. GO HAWKS!!!

I had to turn down the sound on my TV...the UC was THAT loud...fans pounding the boards...chanting...the 3rd period was the most exciting period of the season thus far!!!

Cubs? Sox? WHO CARES!!! HERE COME THE HAWKS!!!

Welcome to the new MADHOUSE on MADISON! I heard that it was so loud in the 3rd period, that even the grounds of the orignal MADHOUSE on MADISON even started to shake with excitment.

Oh, that's right, writing about the Cubs, Sox, Bulls, horseracing, etc. Everything under the sun except the Blackhawks

Darth Vader was unmasked in the end. The evil empire may triumph this time, but someday, they will leave the ice with 10 seconds to go in a blackhawk series clincher, just like the pistons.
