Campbell admitted he was frustrated with the negations with the Sabres. He desperately wanted a long-term deal with Buffalo, but the Sabres offered just a three-year deal.
"I can't sign a three-year deal like that," said Campbell, who pointed out that Florida's Richard Zednik could have died in the arena this month and it forced Campbell to think of how short a players' career could be. "You see what happens. You have to look out for No. 1."

I was so totally disgusted at that remark by Campbell. For God sakes the soldiers who volunteered to protect us and put their lives on the line everyday - who looks out for them? Brian you completely lost my respect. I guess getting on that ice is so dangerous. Who knows when a sniper will take you out. Get in the real world.

He is not worth any more than five million a year, why cant people get that through there heads. If he was worth more we would have received more in return. And needs a cry a** bi+ch on the team anyways, go do your spinoramas in Cali. You are a defensive zone liability

I wish they would of kept Campbell. I think the management is pretty dense. I loved it that Brier won in the shoot out. It was awesome.
Money to sign Miller!! Seriously? He can't get out of Buffalo fast enough!!! Do you really think he wants to stay on a team that most games, he is the only player who shows up? Maybe he will go to New York or Philly. They seems to be doing pretty well.
I'm glad you put in there "most games" because i think he's just an average goalie and should've been traded too.And he defently isn't worth millions....

Stupid Move. You should have resigned him!
You just can't pay a 4.5 million player 6.5 to 7 million. You need to sign Miller next summer.

It is a shame that Brian had to go. The parties who should go are Darcy Regier and Larry Quinn. They always seem to screw up the deals and we lose top talented players.

Brian - you were a great player and you made Buffalo proud. I would like to wish you best of luck on your new team and future endeavors. Will miss you. Good Luck and Bye.

WORST TRADE!!!!!!!!! Bernier, who has 13 goals and 10 assists and 23 points in 59 games, is just one of the Sharks' several underachieving forwards.Cambell league's top puck-moving defenseman the past three seasons Cambell has 5 goals and 38 assists and 43 points in 63 games.. i think its time to fire general manager Darcy Regier what was he thinking?? we could of done better..Darcy Regier gave up on Chris Drury and Daniel Briere and now Cambell what a good gm 3 GREAT players gone now...who the next top player he is going to give up!
WOW you know what you're talking about...Bernsie showed more balls in one game than campbell did in any sweaty commercials!
Brian who?

So......any of you crybabies want to eat your words this morning? Yes, I know, it's only one game...but what a game Bernier had! He lit up the ice just like I had hoped so all you naysayers could choke on your words today!!

I would bet my last dollar that at least 90% of you who made those negative comments yesterday didn't even know anything about Bernier before you started complaining. And I'd bet my last dollar that at least 90% of those naysayers - especially the guys - sat watching the game saying to your pals "I knew this was a good deal -this gusy gonna be good", even though a few hours earlier you sat behind an anonymous name typing your negative comments. Come on, admit it, I've seen guys pull that crap a million times!! But then, I'm just girl, what do I know about sports???? lol
