Can you say depth? Is it to late to have Homer run for mayor of Philly? I can't wait for the season to start already.

I guess that Boucher's record of longest shutout, and Nittamakyi leading his country to a gold meadal in the Olympics means they are junoir b.... then I'll take them. Still alot better than most of the goaltenders in the league.
Oh still don't have a life. Just troll around on your computer looking to start an argument. Mom and Dad must be so proud! That's if they still say that your thier child! Chances are probably not! I still pray for you thou!

<quoted text>Yes you are right... boucher recorded a long shutout period...... has basically done nothing since...cant hold a starter position in the n.h.l.....nitty did win a medal for his country.....so did jim craig....... neither one has shown the ability to stop n.h.l pucks...... thus the junior b tag......I always accept prayer...parents are proud of me.......your goalies dont look too good after my critic of them though.... do they ?? if you call that trolling .......... tough !
So do you even root for a team or do you just like going on forums and try and be hostile to everyone? You really need some therapy, you never say anything positive. I really think you need proffesional help. All that hostility inside of you can't be good for you or anyone around you (Thats if anyone acttually wants to be around you, I'm guessing probably not!) As far as my teams goalies, I still like them more than what most teams have. Your goalie is only as good as the defense in front of them. Most teams will be hurting if thier goalie goes down for any long period of time, they don't have any capable backups. I think that With Nitty we do. Last year he played the entire season with a tear in his hip. He has had surgery and I think he'll play just as well as he did the year before last. Boosh played great when he was here in Philly, then he got traded to the NHL's version of The Bad News Bears. I don't think even Brodeur would be an All-Star with the Coyotes. So YEA MY GOALIES STILL LOOK GOOD TO ME!:)

Also one more thing there DEB STAR,
Whats with all the dots when you post? Doesn't your key board come with a key for coma's. Also I guess that you never heard of capitalizing the first letter of a person's name? That's okay.I'm sure your special-ed teachers will help you with that when you go back to school on your short little yellow bus! Don't forget to put your special helmet on, you know the one that you wear so when you bang your head against the wall you don't do anymore damage to your brain then what has already been done! Party On!

Apparentlty you can't read either. I did respond to your biased as usual post. Maybe try saying out the words. I know your special-ed teachers must have taught you that. Keep your little comments coming, my friends and I enjoy laughing at you! Catch ya later! Special-ed girl!

Wow, awesome argument from both sides, full of great points. No matter what you say, Nittamakyi is not a has been, he is a never was. Unproven and he could go either way. Last year he flat out sucked, maybe a sophomore jinx, maybe the hip issue, or both. He has been brilliant in Olympic play and AHL, not quite junior B, though his inconsistency is a major issue. Plus with a much better team in front of him his numbers will be much better. As for Boucher, he is a has been, which doesn't mean he can't reclaim his play at all. He was brilliant in Philly his first year. In fact other than the second year in, when Philly stupidly went away from him when he lost confidence because the team started slow, which probably caused him a good deal of mental issues, he always played well enough for them to win games, and that is all you can ask for from a netminder on a nightly basis. Maybe a return to his roots will help him to reclaim his form, or maybe he will be the next Neil Little, old dude in the AHL that could of done better with a twist here or a turn there. as for the state of net-minding in Philly... Biron is easily the best goalie they have had since Ron Hextall's prime years in the mid 80's. He looked brilliant at times for buffalo over his career, and probably would of put up just as many wins and just as impressive a numbers as Miller has the last couple years if he had been given most of the playing time. His issue was always slow starts, if you can stay in contention and hang in till the a month before the all-star break he is usually brilliant from then on out. The fact that they have him will increase there likely hood of making a quick turn around and making the playoffs this year, though that is all up to improved play form the younger stars, consistency, health, etc. I wouldn't go so far as to wager anything on them making the playoffs, and I wouldn't bet anything that it will take them 5 years either. I'd say probably if they don't make it this year they will get in by next. However, I don't think anyone knows... thats why they play the games. They are a much improved team and who knows, every team in the NHL is a professional team, it isn't as if any team is really as bad as people say (missing empty nets by whiffing on the puck, falling over backwards on top of each other to allow goals, goalies hiding from slap shots etc) if you build chemistry and give everything you have to win, you have a chance at making the playoffs and being competitive pretty much any time you step on the ice.

In a compleately different NHL related topic. What the hell is the deal with Nashville, they get raped on the Peter, the not so great anymore, and they deal Vokoun to Florida? Yeah Mason had some good numbers but he hasn't put up the great numbers as consistently or turned a expansion team into a contender. Florida will be way better this year just from that deal alone.

Nashville took a risk in advancing far into the playoffs to make the team more attractive to potential buyers and maybe raise the asking price for the team. When they failed in the first round they knew they were screwed. But a buisnessman from Canada wanted to buy the team and was willing to pay the asking price for them. The only thing he wanted was to move the team to Hamilton, Ont. Garry Bettman step in and put a stop to the sale. Bettman didn't want the team to move to Canada. If they moved to Kansas City he would be o.k. with that, but no teams north of the border. Bettman wants to expand the league into non-traditional hockey area's. When the owner of Nashville couldn't sell to the highest bidder he had to dump salary in order to make the team profitable looking to who ever bought the team now. Last I heard was that a group of Investors from Nashville are going to buy the team at alot lower price then what the Canadain buisnessman was willing to pay. They are awating league approval of the sale.

It's easy to look up for yourself. It was on these sites. Hockeybuzz.com and ESPN.com/NHL . It was first reported on hockeybuzz by Ecklund about a month ago. Then Espn reported it a few days later with a bit more detail. OK DEV.
