OFFICIAL GAMEDAY THREAD(CONT'D): 10/31/09 Wild vs. Penguins

FINAL: Wild 2, Penguins 1

It's hard for me to think bad things about penguins.

Well, our man, Owen Nolan, had a shot on goal, he was a +1 (whatever that means), and he got stitches above his eye. That's hot.

I really don't have anything else to comment on. I guess BB covered everything. Next game is Thursday. I'm looking forward to a few days off. Blogging is exhausting.

malkin didn't play tonight. he's been out a couples and will be for a few weeks. if malkin was on the ice, the score would have looked vastly different.

Now that's what I called playing with guts, heart n' discipline. What took them so long to reach this state of mind? Whatever Richards said to them worked. Hope they can sustain the intensity & urgency.

Give Richards credit for sticking with his system. It sure worked against the guins.

this was a classic example of amazing goaltending making everything else nearly irrelevant. Backstrom was friggin' supernatural out there. I do agree with the guy that said Malkin and Kennedy would have made a difference, but we can't ask people to feel sorry for us--the Pens are one of the deepest teams in the league, so they should still be able to get it done (and they mostly have been). Can't wait to see what happens on Tuesday night!

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Leo

If a loved one is upset about something you'll do your utmost to help today. That might involve letting them talk about what's wrong until they feel better about it, or giving them your emotional support. Although you'll want to take their side, bear in mind that they may not exactly be giving you an unbiased report of what's happened so you should keep an open mind.
