The Isles should not let Simon go. They need to keep him on the team but have him sit on the bench every game. If he is out of the NHL, then he can do whatever he wants but as long as he is part of the team, he will have to go to practice and dress for the games and follow orders. I think it's worse to have to do all that and then not get to play in the real game.

Bob - intriguing idea, but he'd just leave the team, plus he'd have to be paid. That punishes the club, not the player.

Mike from Philly - still leading "Leon Steckel" chants at Flyers games, are we? At least we're embarassed about what Simon did; it takes special stupidity to you to rag on Simon when your guys have been getting suspended every third Tuesday for a stick foul or a hit from behind.

I just read that charley choo choo, said that simon WILL be part of the isles team again in the future, hopefully only as a latrine orderly, no effing way should he ever step skates on coliseum ice, or any other ice for that matter, and that only goes to prove that idiots are running the isles from wang, to snow, to nolan, too bad, more bad standings at seasons end again.

PS, so the isles have advised simon to take a "vacation"? Do they in their infinite idiocy think by a move like that, that the NHL will go easier on simon, they need to dump teddy's boy, and league punching bag, and bring up one of their young physical players,it would also open cap space.

Simon....just go away, what was that? I thought he was a tough guy? Does not seem so tuff now. I have more respect for a bum on the street. Hey Simon nice way to go out!
