I cant believe Isles players think the suspension was too long. In all honesty the league should have suspended him for the rest of the year. The NHL is the sport that hands out the most lenient suspensions.

Well said, the potential return of Simon is absolutely haunting me.
For the simple reason that he brings NOTHING to the team.
Enforcer? Pshaw, for a year now (what little of a year he has played), other teams (enforcers) have simply avoided him out of what appears to professional respect for a washed up boxer.
And other than a perceived
"enforcer" role, what else does Chris Simon bring to the table? NOTHING. He's done. Can't skate, can't pass, can't shoot, can't score.
If anything, he brings a HUGE TARGET to the ice.
If I'm on an opposing team, and I see him on the ice, I AM CHOMPING at the bit to egg him into doing SOMETHING STUPID again, and cost the Isles yet another game.
Not only that, every ref in the league is gonna BE LOOKING for ANY little excuse to whistle Simon off the ice.
THIS IS A DUMB DUMB DUMB MOVE BY THE ISLES.
When do the stinking piles ever do something that isn't DUMB DUMB DUMB?

I can't get over how immature and childish Ranger fans are. Are you all in high school and the highlight of your day is posting on a newsday messageboard? Go talk to a girl losers lol.

On another note, Simon is a waste. Not only should he never set foot on the ice again because of all his cheapshots, but he's washed up and over the hill and is just a huge waste of icetime.

And the kiddie ranger fans haven't been following hockey long enough to know that Theo Fleury DID have a drug problem and had to go into a substance abuse program for it.

I cant wait to take up ice time from young players !
How can I outdo my latest accomplishments, such as swinging my hockey stick like barry bonds at hollwegs face (wow i need some steroids, i looked pretty weak on that one, hollweg got right back up)
and using my skate to try and slice another players ankle...
Hmmm that Zednik injury looked pretty cool, I wonder if I can get another 45 day vacation for doing it on purpose to someone...
Its ok the islanders will always give me another shot, I actually let Nolan sleep with my wife!

Yeah, all the dirty little tricks i learned while i was with the broadway beotch blueshirts.

Haha, does that mean there were two crackheads?? I am positive about Theo. Never understood why the Rangers hopped on that train. That guy left a mess everywhere he went and was not that good. Guess everyone makes a mistake. I am a Yankees fan and they let Steve Howe come back about 8 times, so management rarely cares if they are good players
Not that good? His player profile tells a different story. The guy, in spite of his addiction problems, was a helluva hockey player.
