An absolute mess and it isn't going to get any better anytime soon. Lemme guess...trade deadline, they'll dump the veterans to stockpile draft picks for what? Another season in 09-10 of "youth movement" without any top notch free agents/serviceable veterans to lead them? Sell them and move them. Sad to see.

Dear Santa,

All that I want for Christmas is the firing of Snow & Gordon. I've been a somewhat loyal & faithful fan this season & in past years.

Thank you!

What gets me sick is people posting about moving the team off the Island. Grow the F up, moving the team geographically still leaves you with the same management and players. Let Snow do his thing and stock up on draft picks. Mad Mike made this organization a mess and it will take a while to fix it but what else can you do? Just support the youth movement, suck it up and be patient for the next couple of years.

Isles Fan - What you can do is not make the situation worse. In a couple of years this team will still suck, because the management is a joke and these overhyped players of the youth movement just aren't that good. Selling the team and moving it would give the franchise half a chance. Long Island has not been able to support the team for years. No disrespct to residents, but the market simply isn't there anymore and but the logistical nightmares still are.

Wow, With aprox 6,000 people going to games your team will not be able to afford losing seasons for the next couple of years. I know a player that is up for draft next year. He says "God, i hope that team from Long Island does not pick me. I would rather not play then play there." Setiment of players already in the NHL as well. So get your head out of the clouds. This org. will be out by 2010.

Isles fan is right. Moving the team will not do anything to improve the team. Long Island is a fine place for hockey.... if you have a team worth paying to see. When the isles are in the playoffs the place is full. Even as the 8th seed. Everyone knew they would stink this year such as myself which is why i didn't pay for the center ice package. So now we get to make fun of the team after every game. What is the point. I hope they stink so we can get the #1 pick which is why dp should not play at all this year and bailey should not even be here. By the way Wang has never threatened to sell the team even though he loses money every year. Do you know how much money that guy has? It is a disgusting amount. Makes A-rod look like a homeless begger in penn station

yes, lets all hope for high draft picks! so then garth can trade down like he did last draft.

the only rebuilding this ownership is interested in is real estate development, not team development.

and just when u think things cant get worse- the franchise, red light ricky will reappear. until he gets hurt again.

Healy,

I understand how much money he has. But, lets face it. How long do you continue to lose money until you say you had enough. If he has that much money why not just build a new arena and then push your lighthouse project around a new building.

Hello Fans. I hope you are as delighted with last night's effort, as much as I am. Wow. We were competitive for 2/3 of the game. Contrast that with the Pittsburgh game, in which we were blown out in the first three minutes. No doubt my system is really kicking in. Next month, I believe we will improve to the point of getting one overtime loss. Now, as to the whiners on the team - e.g. Brenden "I get so confused" Witt. Time for you guys to act like men not sissies! One more piece of great news. Ricky will be back for the holidays. So nice to see that red light flashing at the Mausoleum! Super Coach Gordo, signing out.

Yeah. The youth movement has much promise. I mean, Okposo has two goals the entire season, Bailey none and that Sim dude probably hasn't had one shot on net. He, He. your team stinks and will stink for decades. I love it!

this team need to play a tight forechecking game with a stay at home defense that once in awhile jumps into the offensive zone.

what are the people that run this team thinking? you hire a coach to build a system around? usually the coach has to adapt to his players not the other way around.

Scott Gordon is not the right coach for this team. Garth Snow and Scott Gordon are in way over their heads.

But that's ok because the Islanders are (surprise) REBUILDING. this has to be rebuilding project #14?

Larry, get your head on straight. FIrst off the islanders were rebuilding in the mid and late 1990's with milbury as gm. No one told him to trade every good prospect the nhl had to offer. No one told him to trade the best prospect in hockey (lunongo)and get DP and pass up on heatley. No one told him to pass up on Parise when he fell right to the islanders. This is a clean up of his mess. There was no rebuild from 01-06. The additions of Yashin, Peca, Aucoin, Osgood were not "rebuilding" additions. That team wasnt a rebuild so just get the facts straight.
