If this was the appetizer for the duel between Rick DiPietro and former Islanders goaltender Roberto Luongo Tuesday night in Vancouver, it wasn't very encouraging for the Isles' franchise player.

This team needs to do something about it's second line. Bergenheim is skating his a$$ off to get the puck but Vasicek and Satan can't finish. The Isles thought that Vasicek would have the same impact the Koslov had last year but he play more like Oleg Kvasha. You think Satan would be motivated in a contract year but he looks lost. I hope when Opsoko is ready for the NHL that the hard working 4th line guys don't get benched.

Only 47 more years and DP'S contract will be over.

Dumbest trade the Islanders ever made.
If the Islanders had Luongo they would be in 1st place in their division. Gee, we have a great young goalie that is ready - let's trade him and draft another goalie not ready for a few years. Milbury should work for the Knicks.

Wish I had gone to bed instead of watching that debacle last night. If we made the Oilers look good, I can only imagine what's in store for tonight.

Absolutely no reason for Hunter and Sillinger to be getting as much icetime as they do. Tank is in a big old slump cause his linemates are horrible. i dont care how much leadership a guy brings to the ice if he cant play i think its time to hang em up. And Hunter just seems about two steps off his usual game. Sure hes not scoring but everytime he goes in for a hit he gets about 90% boards 10% body. Time to start sitting these guys in favor of the younger talent. Look what happened when they gave Comeau a shot. Hes consistently been one of our top 3 forwards. Bring up the kids

Milbury should be put in jail...

...or shot.
