I was at game-saw the play-it was a chicken schlitz call.

Great atmosphere yesterday...good effort. 2nd period sucked...

Kurtis McLean gets praise from his coach but a third string goaltender gets putdown for giving up a goal?? I'm beginning to see why all the other writers here are so negative about the coach.I'm beginning to see the light. It took awhile but I'm getting there.

I can't find where Gordon was getting down on Danis.....was it in the post-game interview? Thats some BS if he did that, he was a goalie, he should know better

I really think this is all you can expect from this bunch with the skill level we've got, lots of hard work but no finishing.

Nevermind, I got it.....it's in the other article about the game......they couldn't combine talking about Witt's slash with the rest of the recap for the game???

Man what a dick Gordon comes off as......its the 3rd string goalie, only 13 starts in his career. He's lucky Danis kept these games within 1 goal, maybe he should get on his pee-wee offense that only scores 1 goal a game. Cut the guy some slack, trying to taint the kid forever? Honestly, this guy would only be a so-so starter in Bridgeport.....there's nobody else in the system? Why not give Mannino a shot? Danis is scary out there with his happy feet.......

I saw the press conference yesterday-
Gordon told a story about how back in the minors a goalie made 60 saves and still lost- Gordon said something to the effect of ...what the difference if you don't stop the ones your supposed to stop- I thought that was a little over the top- Marty Brodeur lets in pucks too..but his team also buries a few pucks to help the team win- When a goalie holds the Caps to one goal in 60 minutes...how could you kill the goalie ?

Matty,
I agree. As a goalie myself I took offense to that.

In the end, doesnt matter if you give up 8 goals, 2 goals, or 0 goals...your job as a goalie is just to keep your team in it and give them a chance to win, which he's been doing. Ur not gonna win every game 2-1, the team needs some scoring.

I happen to like Yann Denis, but I think his confidence can waivor. Gordon's remarks were ludicrous. I saw the post-game interview live and was immediately shocked at his comments at Denis, who has been thrown to the wolves and held his own.
