Is it me or does Ted Nolan say some pretty corny stuff. A great coach for sure but we all have to admit it.......Nobody can give a funny quip like Mad Mike Milbury,,,lol

True, but it must be difficult responding to stupid cliche questions from the press without responding purely in cliche (which most coaches do).

I'll be curious to see how Martinek plays. He seems to have a significant injury pretty much every year. In past years he hasn't been quite the same when he came back. Let's hope his recovery is complete this time.

Better to have corney lines than corny plays. Mad Mike said one time in response to a Canadian comment, "All they have in Canada is hockey and lumber."

Isles need Witt's toughness in the lineup not only as an on ice presence but to help out against the oppositions top line. There is no grit on this team; Hunter may body check but I think his choice as a first fight in Derian Hatcher was not a good one. There is also NO scoring pop in this team. I'm not sure what you have in Bridgeport to deal but waiting for Shawn Bates ever aching groin to heal is not going to put 30 more goals on your side of the ledger.
On a separate note: How in the h-ll does ANDY SUTTON make 2.5 million dollars per season? 6 points and a -5?

Hunter chose that fight AFTER Hatcher punched him in the mush. I was in Sec 122. Ugly when Hatcher pulled the helmet off of Hunter by the visor. It was totally bent from the pulling until it popped off.

Hunter will kick your ass against the boards, but never with his fists. A very smart guy. Thanks Trent

It was high up in section 322, I didn't get to see that. LOL
At any rate, are my other points far off??

Bates can add 30 goals to the lineup if he can score 15 in each of his 2 games before his next injury.
