Hawks GM Tallon plans to make trades

Blackhawks general manager Dale Tallon spent a long day working the phones Monday.

I'd love to see Brad Richards in a Hawk uniform but i think it's smoke just like the Forsberg offer...

Tony you are right I would love to see Richards in a Hawks sweater. This one might work out though, the reason is Richards said that the Hawks are one of 6 teams he would waive his no trade clause for. Forsberg played the Hawks a few years ago and I think he did the same again. Rumors among the Hawks fans I know thought that Forsberg would not come to Chicago, and with his issues I am glad he didn't come here. We have less than 6 hours to see what happens. I am going to be checking on line all day to see what happens. Cross your fingers, hopefully we give up little and get alot. LETS GO HAWKS!!!!

What's strange is that in todays paper down here the reports are that he hasn't even been asked to waive his no trade.The Hawks must have came out of nowhere because up until this morning all I heard were Dallas,Vancouver and Columbus were in the hunt...I too will be checking the sites all day...I love this stuff!

It looks like they are trying to get rid of Ruutu, Lapointe, Perreault, and possibly Zyuzin if they can get a defenseman since Sopel is out. I don't think that they are going to dump Khabby. The only thing is that Perreault is out with an injury so not sure if that would stop a trade. I still would like to see the Hawks keep Havlat I think he could still be a great player for them if he can stay healthy. Lets see what the next few hours bring.

General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have acquired forward Andrew Ladd from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forward Tuomo Ruutu. Ladd was the 4th overall pick in the 2004 Draft.

One player confirmed traded, Tallon really likes the Hurricanes players.
