Yes fans it's me. Welcome back to reality. You can't forecheck like that for 60 min. Gordan has to adjust when the forecheck stops working.

If you are a Rangers fan, go worry about your team that won 1 cup in 68 years...

Such a simple minded excuse. Oh their tired in the third. Lets be real-I love the Isles but the Pens are a more talented team. You put Malkin and Crosby on a line together-there arent many teams in the NHL that can stop them.
Maybe if you said-Guerin and Weight dnt have the wheels like they used to...I could agree.

Best test tomorrow.
Isles should be fired up for Gordon!!!

Islander bubble burst last night? We all had our dreams dashed and saw the 40 minute team collapse again. That streak must have been a mirage. It seems like only Tim Jackman was playing that third period. That moron, Gordon, should have called a time-out after the first goal in the third period, making it 3-2. His elevator doesn't go all the way to the top, but we still have to listen to his BS. Not one player has a plus rating on this team!

Santa Fe Mike...
The success of team isnt determine by a players plus rating...Wins and Losses.
You clearly dnt have a clue what you are saying about Gordon.
But you do make a good point about using the timeout...

worry about your team that has not won a playoff round since 1993, which was before the rangers won the cup. your teams only glory came in the early 80's which was a quarter of a century ago get over it. the islanders only come to play against the rangers like they are the only team that matters. at least after the rangers sucked they got a lot better and are now cup contenders. enjoy your crappy team.

Troll needs to look at the evidence, he does.:)

(1) All the times we have seen this collapse in the third and they still managed to get to OT, they didnt look tired at all. If it was fatigue, that would not happen- and it has happened numerous times.

(2) The Isles are also doing better in the 2nd of back to back games compared to the 1st... another thing that goes against the fatigue hypothesis.

(3) Their worst recent game (that Devs game) was after numerous days off... when fatigue would be least likely to be a factor... while when they have less time off, they have done better.

I think its been psychological more than anything else.

In this particular case, it seems this was more of a panic thing once they had to concentrate not on Crosby or Malkin but on Crosby AND Malkin. Plus, the both of them being FANTASTIC, along with their team being really, really good and having a recurring history of coming back in the 3rd didnt hurt, either.

It's Albuquerque Mike....not Santa Fe Mike....learn to read and comprehend. Plus/Minus does win or lose games. You show your ignorance about hockey. You get a minus when you are on the ice when the other team scores and a plus when you are on the ice when your team scores. If you are in the penalty box when the other team scores you also get a minus. Too many players with -10 means a lot of goals are being scored when they are on the ice. When a lot goals are scored against you.....you lose! No charge for the lesson on hockey.

Roswell Mike-

Lets clear the smoke out of your head...
Why would +/- matter if your invovled in games with scores like 7-1 or 5-3 or 4-2. A +/- rating can be misleading after the leading goal is scored.
We're not trying to split atoms here...

Go Isles!!!

BAD, bad game... and once again, I think that their mentality is what destroyed things! The Bruins are fantastic this season, they are beating even the best of teams.

Been to Roswell have you? Beam Battfist (or is it Buttfist)up Scotty! Use your third eye and half a brain to see how important the plus/minus is. Too many of your players having high +/- means you are giving up too many goals. Too many goals means you are losing too many games, even if it is by only one goal. Still no charge for hockey lesson. See you in Roswell next July to watch you get beamed up to visit your relatives. Woooooooooo! It's Twilight Zone time.
