Can anyone deny McDonald is superior to DiPietro? He was superb last night, followed the puck all game, always in position, quick with the hands. Excellent all round game -- and didn't give up the puck. This is why you don't sign goalies to 13-year contracts. Players blossom. Wasn't Hasek Belfour's backup? What are the Islanders going to do now? Play DiPietro? How long until he gives up his first puck, first bad goal? A period? McDonald is a number one goalie -- the Isles.
And Islander fans have a right to be outraged. The deal is that we, the fans, support the team, and the team doesn't make stupid reckless moves. Too many stupid reckless moves and the fans have every right to move on. Masochism isn't healthy.
And can someone please explain, with all the hi-tech coaching, all the video, why teams in the NHL, when they have a power play, and the other team takes another penalty, why they don't immediately hand over the puck, increasing their 5-on-3 time? Instead, every time I've seen the Islanders in this situation, and most other teams, when the opponent takes another penalty they try to hold on to the puck as that precious 5-on-3 time dwindles.

Big win!!!! 4 out of the last 5...nice.

Campbell-way to be consistent. A 2 game suspension...give me a break. As it has been said by many-no wonder the NHL is the 4th sport in this country with these clowns running the NHL.

Get well Frans....

Cambell says he didn't hit him in the head. OK if he didn't hit him in the head, why is there any suspension at all? Its a disgrace. Cambell should be suspended for the rest of his life.

LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!
