'Nucks just waived Curtis Sanford to make room for Luongos return.. I say scoop him up. I think he'll be just as good and probably a bit more reliable then doobie.. and I'm a fan of
Dubielewicz.. just makes good sense and the Isles can always use a good dose of that.

Looks like DP the tin man is coming apart faster than my friend the scarecrow. So this coming ever since Isle's dumped Loungo and said this guy was the franchise. Very over rated goalie. Can name a dozen or more that are better and more deserving of a good contract....Hockey Rumor has Isle's sending their 2009 pick and some players possibly to Atlanta for Ilya Kovalchuk. If this happens so much for rebuilding via the draft

If 3 teams are interested in Dubie, I can't see him, or anyone else for that matter, wanting to come to this losing effort. Last place in the NHL!!! It's so bad that they can't GIVE tickets away, even with free food (it's not worth paying for the parking)!!!

I've been in Islander fan for many years (yes, I admit it), but something needs to be done!!!
How about saying goodbye to Garth (EXCELLENT)?

Sh?t starts at the top and flows downhill! Maybe with him gone we can start winning a game here and there and then maybe we can "PARTY ON, DUDE"!!!

CLASSIC DUDE
Could we all just hope that Ricky will retire....oh Lordy that woud be the best news since Milbury left.
I hate to bring this up but How does an X gm get any Tv time concerning hockey after the job he did on LI?
Even worse, canadians love him!!
I don't know if "love" is the right description.
He's OK in that he offers an opinion not often shared by other, monotone talking heads like the NHL Network. Plus, the other panelists take every opportunity to mock him to no end over some the moves/decisions he made in Long Island.

The title of this article should have been "Isles goalie DiPietro's season should be over"!

Snow needs to make a move.. DP injury has been a thorn. Joey is hurting. Dubie could be ok for now. How about newly released and seasoned vet Sanford(Canucks)?
..and the band plays on.. LETS GO ISLES

I'm pretty sure, that in 29 years of rooting for this team, that I've never seen things look bleaker. Sure, we have some talented young kids, but won't we "f" that up too? Its time to say adios to DP. Should have never let Luongo out of our site. but that is old news.
i mean, did things even seem this bad when the fisherman adorned the jersey? At least we had Ziggy for a short time then, oy.....
Man I miss Bill Torrey.

ALl you DP complainers...how short your memories of All-Star last season are. The Islanders mistake was bringing DP back at all this season...it is clear that the team is not making the playoffs this season, so let him sit out for the season and recover. Don't bring him back to play. We need to get the #1 draft pick (or #2 if we lose the draft lottery) and to do that, we need to lose as many games as possible. I know this is tough to take as a fan, but that is what we have to do.

hahahahahaha...his "All Star" season???

He made the team because he was the only decent player on a team of nobodys.
The stupid rule that each team has to have a rep is what got him there...

If you don't see that you are blind. DP is average at best

i can see it all happening now- isles get first pick in the draft. Tavares follows eric lindros' lead and refuses to play.

and who would blame him....

perhaps he has a brother we could sign instead.

on the bright side- at least we have a gm in waiting for another 10-12 years.
