Sidney Crosby loved his time in Minnesota as a 15-year-old. Crosby, the Pittsburgh Penguins' superstar and face of the NHL, has fond memories of playing for Shattuck-St. Mary's in Faribault in 2002-03 on a team that included Jack Johnson, Drew Stafford, Matt Smaby and Tyler Hirsch, among other standouts.

Crosby is an exciting young player. I forgot how young he really is. He could be at the top of his game for 12-15 years more! Still, glad the Wild beat them;)

I bet a lot of people didn't recall Sidney's hockey connection in Minnesota. He was an above average high school player then but not overly flashy. He has since became one of the games high scorers. He was always a nice kid.
