Full story: Newsday 12
Rick DiPietro adheres to the athlete's maxim. "You never want to admit you're hurt," he said yesterday. Full Story

Here goes the Dipi guessing game again. He better start today.

I know everybody wants to shut him down, but they obviously have no intention of doing that. I guess it would give me a better feeling going into next year knowing our big investment can stay on the ice for more than 2 games in a row.

Go Isles!

maybe Swami Maharaji needs to do some of that middle eastern hocus pocus on DiP and make him all better.

ok, lets be real. The ISLES are going nowhere this season. Play the young players and let DP sit out the year. IT'S A NO BRAINER GUYS!

Can I apply for the GM position???? I KNOW I CAN DO A BETTER JOB!

I'd give you my vote too if you promised to bring Ted Nolan back -

Can we be more realistic?

There's NO CHANCE Nolan is coming back. They're probably not going to fire Gordon either.

The Isles are also not going to sit their franchise player if they think he's healthy. You have to be more practical. I understand you have to sell SOME tickets. Dipi is young enough that half a season shouldn't kill him.

Stop crying and moaning and claiming you know better, when all you're doing is posting BRAINLESS ideas. We have to move forward. We can't change the past, so harping on it won't help.

Question...yesterday a point was made that the Isles getting the #1 pick is not a gimme as the lottery is still in place. IF the isles don't get the #1 or #2 pick is Snow going to trade down again to get some more picks and to get "the player they really wanted"?

The only brainless idea being posted is the assume the constant mistakes the team makes are somehow going to work out, which you seem to be proposing. Getting rid of snow and grodon, bringing back Nolan, and resting DiPietro are three reasonable ideas that would help turn things around. Of course the past can't be changed, but as fans we are entilted to highlight the past mistakes made by a team, particularly when they are as frequent as islander fans have become subject to. Once fans accept poor management of their teams the trend will always continue.

This organisation does not give a toss about its fans if it continues to promote DiPietro as the franchise player, tell us to buy tickets, and then will not keep fans in the loop on his injury status. Wang messed up with Yashin's contract and instead of learning from his mistake, made a more rediculous deal with DiPietro.

Hopefully the SEC will have Wang in jail soon enough so we can get a decent owner for the team. Although we have been looking for a decent owner for some time.
