"It's frustrating," Mike Comrie said...... how the "F" do you think the fans feel after year after year of endless promises of rebuilding, coach changes, and now a youth movement towards the future that another GM or city will get to enjoy!

Can't hold leads or win games with sh!tty defense!

And then what? Garth Snow behind the bench or another puppet coach who gets to watch the second half of this season flop away.... God this team SUCKS!

I bet if we could go back in time and play the '72 Isles team, this team would lose! they would problably lose to the '96 Isles with the Fisherman jerseys too.

I knew the team was going to be horrible going into the season, but this is a new low. I wonder what scheme they will come up with this year to milk the cup teams to try to make us forget about the current team.

This team is now the laughing stock of the entire league. I get people calling me saying they lost and laughing. Sorry Gordon, your time has come and gone. A shake up is long over due. Hey Witt, the parade is over how about moving to get position on people in front of the net. Has anyone seen Christy? lol

Just can't get over Comrie, his play and contract. I know I harp on it, but if Snow thinks Mike Comrie is worth four million... no words. As for Gordon, obviously his system is a disaster. The Islanders had a chance to at least make this season LOOK respectable, by hiring a bona fide NHL coach. But of course they didn't do that. No reason to let a seasoned hockey man see how inept Snow is, how meddling and, frankly, dumb Wang is. And finally, it's time for Bergeinheim to do more than simply skate around looking angry. I don't know -- how about: SCORE!

Guerin is asking Santa for a win? How gay. He should be asking for wider corridors and more bathrooms.

Yes, Nolan was the best thing this team had going. But, why do people think it is the system's fault?

The way the roster is assembled, it doesn't matter what style is played. This team would lose anyway. The bad thing also is that the hockey news rates our youth as the bottom third of the league...doesnt say much for our rebuilding proces.

We have waited this long whats another half of the season.Keep DP off the ice until after the allstar break.Don't put all the blame on Gordon either.Injuries are a big part of the lossing process. The whole league is being hit with big time injuries not just us.Unfortunately these other teams are deep at each position so it does'nt seem that bad. There is NO quick fix.We should deal whatever veterans we have by the dead line. This way we can really rebuild with youth .Also ,STOP THE FRIGGEN CRYING ALREADY.Grow up and deal withit.

Throw the Old Metal Chicks carcass in front of the net...every one will skate away.Fear-not....we have the ridiculous and childish "Ice-Girls" to take your mind off of all the money you shell-out for tickets and food and watered-down beverages. What a DISGRACE this "Team" is.End of Story.

Your right...my mistake....how about this ratio for the blame:

1/3 Gordon and his b.s. system (I would rather see the trap!)

1/3 Snow & Wang on this vision of a youth movement (led by Bailey, Oposko, Campoli, etc...all honestly AHL caliber.)

1/3 On the vets...right Comrie and Hunter will be our prolific scorers...should I even get into our D?

Honestly, the morale of this team on & off the ice most be at the lowest point...but a shake-up must happen now to atleast salvage the season...because there is no post-season even if the wins start piling up...we cant even get out of the 3rd period...so please forget about the post-season!!!!!!!!!!

Two years ago the Chicago Black Hawks looked were the laughing stock of the league. Before Crosby and Malkin the Penguins were the joke of the NHL. Both Chicgao and Pittsburgh stuck to the rebuilding plan by exhibiting patience. If the Islanders remain patient, and draft well their fortunes will indeed change for the better. Gordon's system has little to do with team that lacks talent. This year was written off before it started. It makes little sense to spend money like the Rangers (they blew a 4 goal lead to Washington at the the SEX Palace aka MSG last night) and dwell in mediocrity at best evey year.

All this whining and no one brings up the point that we are playing with a goalie who has no confidence. Joey Mac is done. Does he like leaving big juicy rebounds in front of his net?

For positives-Callahan looks like the real deal. Keep him up...

Comrie, Blake and KO line played well.

One problem with your analysis: Bill Torrey ain't the GM anymore. Snow is. His record: absurd trade for Ryan Smyth; signing Comrie to a $4-mil deal (did I mention that?); trading down twice last year; having no bona fide scorers this year. Next!

its the building! its got to be the building! it can't be snow or wang.

the season is already lost, if they dump gordon mid season it will just add to the joke and make it that much tougher to find another coach. who in their right mind would want to come coach, or even play for this team?

and alla mike milbury, it wouldnt suprise me in the least to see snow get a promotion or contract extension after the season.

you dope.. the smith trade was bad? do you even know where those prospects are now? go read about it..they are busts at this moment so explain to me how thats bad? if they were flying high and paying off for edmonton then complain.

rebuilding..not patchwork like you want.

except the rebuild and atrocious play for 2 yrs and hope the prospect pan out somewhat.
