Great team win! Its taking some time but the pieces are coming together. The Isles are poised to get some more great draft picks & Gordons system is starting to click. Very soon they will be the team to beat in the East. All the naysayers & fair-weather fans who post on here whining constantly will eat crow. Mark my words.

LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!

I 100% agree w/you..I havent lived on the Island since 92 and im more of a loyal fan of the Islanders than the ones who still live there...I cant wait to see them in Kansas City when they play the Kings in a preseason game....boy what id give to be back home to fill a seat by the Isles bench...the fans on the island dont know how good it is to have a team, Nebraska has squat...about last nites game, best 60minutes of Isles hockey all season..i guess the departures of Camps and Duff-Diver help the team get into the play Gordon intends, without the distractions..good job to Garth and the team for playing thru this rebuilding process, the rewards will come.

The Isles are finally building the right way after too many years... but don't assume these 2 first rounders will be on the team next year. If they are then don't expect them to light up the league. Stamkos is expected to be a star but you really didn't see much from him in TB this year.

I'm just saying not to expect too much too quickly from 18 and 19 year old kids. They will help the Isles but maybe not so much next year.

I believe they will be improved next year and hopefully they'll at least be back in the playoff hunt but don't think they'll be a contender yet. That will only lead to more whining and crying from all of the drive-by fans that post on here without a clue.
