P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C and unwatchable. AND the coach was happy with the performance! Gordon is a fair guy and a good coach but this overspeed is not gonna work with THIS team at all. I hope there are plans in our future for laviolette 's return in any psoition possible. A class act that should have never been gone!

I've got to agree here, bring back Peter as the assistant head coach for now. He never should have been fired in the first place. I'm not giving up here because a lot of injuries to a couple of the kids has set them back.

i agree with both of your comments.good points one thing i will say they keep scrambling this team think of all the trades the coaches the gms i mean really..... stop and work what you have.i miss nolan....... i hope its not to late for this team this year but we are fallin deeper and deeper......... they are pretty close to the economy before they called it a depression yep that how i feel......... what will it take......?i mean really? dissapointed......

First, I don't see the same "Overspeed" system being played as it was a month ago. And maybe that leads me to my 2nd point: Nielsen and Okposo are missed. Bailey has some amazing passing skills, he can put the puck wherever he wants it, but he doesn't skate hard enough or win faceoffs. He's young, so let's see how he's doing a couple years from now.
Thirdly, give MacDonald a rest. Let Denis start the next game, he can't do any worse...

Are you all living in the twilight zone? Was Gordon watching the same game as I was? So what if they had 29 shots; how many were good scoring chances. After this many games it's time to realize that Gordon's style of play won't work with this team as so constructed. Could all these injuries be a result of his style of hockey overtaxing the players. The Islanders can make any goalie look like a Vezina Trophy holder. Gordon must go and we should get a NHL coach.

They lose 5-1 and have lost 5 of 6 and Gordon can't find fault with his players??? HELP!!!!!! What is left to root for? We are not making the playoffs and the youth movement has been a disaster so far.Another year with nothing to root for. Will it ever get better???????

From an aesthetic viewpoint, the Islanders are marvlous. However, from a realistic viewpoint, they stink! Okposo is overrated Bailey is too green. A burger clow in the nets. A team, like you've never seen. And with Comeau, Tambellini, Park and that guy Sim. You have an idea, what kind of trouble the Islanders are in.

Dude, check the standings. Your team is in the cellar. Get real. There is only one hockey team in NY and your team ain't it.

"There was a missed coverage on three goals where we had people in place but didn't pick up the man. That was a breakdown, and we didn't get the save. But from a defensive standpoint in our zone, we didn't give up anything and we spent little time there, so we must have been doing something very well in the offensive zone on the forecheck."

This guy is not an NHL head coach, period.

When you Gordon fans see him, ask him to say "hello" to Alice and the Tin Man. The guy is in a world of his own. Hand out shovels whenever he gives a press conference. When he talks, everyone gets a brain cramp!

Terrible-just terrible.

To give Gordon the benefit of this doubt...he doesnt have the parts yet. Losing your best legs in KO and Frans hurts...
I say give him this year to learn the team...sign some players this offseason to fit his season and then we can fire him next season if this is how bad it gets.

That game was junk!
