Blue Jackets will take time hiring a coach | The Columbus Dispatch

So far, the Blue Jackets' search for a new coach is in its infancy stage, contained within the walls of Nationwide Arena and within the cranium of general manager Scott Howson. Full Story

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They feed us these same lines all the time, and we end up with the same old BULL_____. This is a totally LOST franchise and a totally LOST FRONT OFFICE. Open the paper this morning, and here we are again reading more excuses from this pathetic team. More excuses this time about how many coaches this team has had, and more excuses why these coaches never work out. Same old cock and bull stories coming from the Blue Jackets!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone really believe a word you read or hear from this team????? My lord, how can these reporters ask anyone to believe a word written here??? Is anyone dumb enough to really believe this bull???? In fairness, there is not one person who could be asked to believe what is written about this pathetic team. Come on!!!!! Wake up!!!!!!!
We will be reading this same thing in less than two seasons when they finally can Howson and all his pathetic staff. Maybe we will get a real hockey reporter with the new coach. We sure can hope. Time to stop all the excuses coming from the CBJ beat reporters too!!!!!!!!!!

Candy, please stop being such a b*t*h and just leave. No need to spread your pessimism unless misery just wants company. Why don't you just leave?!?! It really is that simple. Oh wait, don't let the door hit your arse too hard on the way out!

Duh, my what an appropriate name. They grow a bunch of real hockey experts in NEWARK!

Anyway, it doesn't matter who they hire. He won't be coaching behind the bench in Nationwide more than a year before they move.

@Duh,
Hey brainless. She did what EVERY fan should do!! She spoke and wrote the plain, simple truths about the Blue Jackets. She wrote the truth about the reporters who SUGAR COAT everything they write about this team. The reporters who cover this team make more excuses than the team front office does. Just more excuses. Over and over and over again. Excuses.
You cant handle the truth. Candy did what every person in Ohio should do...call out the Blue Jackets. This team is pathetic!!!! That is the plain truth.

Nothing is worse than a bunch of know it all whiny "fans" who think they know more than a gm. Speechless, how do you know duh's qualifications? Would you care to post your hockey qualifications? I thought duh called out a whiny "fan" who does nothing but spread their complaints. Some people would complain if they got everything they wanted. This is an exciting time for the Jackets. They are in the process of hiring a new coach and how do any of you "know" how it will turn out. I say, hold on before you "complain" about nothing. Which is what you seem to do a lot of around here.

The Jackets have a young team that is loaded with talent. We need to find a Coach that can rein in their energy and desire to play hard and fast hockey and bring in a style that brings these strengths to the ice.
Oh, and get Mason a bigger glove, or at least adjust his shoulder pad so that his arm can get a little higher.

@Really,
you must be a total moron!!! This team has a nine year history of losing hockey, pathetic front office signings, pathetic trades, massive failure to get an arena lease done, not one owner who will come out and speak to the fan base, and they name a quitter Nash as captain!! This all only begins to scratch the surface of issues with this team. The team was 18 full games under the .500 point, and closed the season on a five game losing streak. The captain quit on us fans for over 40 games!! For what???? To play for Canada in the Olympic games. Yet, the Blue Jackets pay this jerk 6 million a season. This team is NOT loaded with talent. Just look back at what the Blackhawks and Redwings did when their team chose to come play....they kill the Jackets in all parts of the game, and I have not even got to San Jose, St Louis and others. Give up 8 goals in several games and you fans are happy, shows you talent???
Most of these CBJ fans need to learn what winning really is! Try expecting 106 points every year there in Nationwide! Its clear that Columbus Blue Jacket fans DONT know what it is to win hockey games, and they clearly cant see sugar coated reporting by the teams own reporters. Folks, it is pathetic hockey and you all need to wake up!!!

Le Claire,
I give you props. I give Candy props too. We finally have some on this site who speak the truth about the pathetic hockey in Nationwide Arena. A total disgrace in every aspect of it. I am really glad to see some people speak the truth about this pathetic team

It is now time for these fans to STOP their crying when others post the truth!!! The fact is the Blue Jackets have been a losing team for all NINE seasons.
The team stinks!! They are all quitters. Not one owner cares that this team stinks. That is the hard, hard truth about the Blue Jackets.
Fans need to grow up and face truth. This team will always be a below .500 team.

Kathryn, if you are going to complain about someone posting the "truth" you might want to start with yourself! The fact is that in the 08-09 season the jackets were winning team. I find it funny that you say they will always be below .500. I have to ask, why are you a "fan" then? I think I am with duh, why don't you just leave. No reason to complain, just leave. It really is that simple.

Jackets had a good coach with the name of Hitchcock. He took the team to its first ever playoff appearance. Then the team quit playing for him because they are gutless and lack leadership. Therefore, the coach was sent packing for some minor-league crybaby coach named Noel. Noel's attitude clearly rubbed off on the Jackets as they continued their poor play but blamed everyone else for their performance except for themselves. Lot's of young talent but think they can win every game without playing to their highest level each and every night as the league's elite teams do on a regular basis. WAH!

Always and never are two words you should not use when talking about things you cannot control, and some things you can.
I will try though. Kathryn, you will always be ignorant, and that will never change.
