The first line, that is. Anze Kopitar is the incumbent first-line center, and won't lose that role, but the Kings have two left wingers and two right wingers who are each capable of scoring 30 goals.

Coach Murray will definately be mixing first line all year depending on streaks, playing hurt, and opponent. Without doubt Drew D will be smarter, and more assertive than first year, learned alot on d last year. Quick will be looking over his shoulder all year for Bernier at Manchester, which is good for Kings. Major injuries to top teams will decide final playoff group. Kings may just squeeze in, if key Kings remain healthy. It will be fun, let's party on.
Thanks Rich for everything you give us. We all appreciate you.

An objective, balanced and fair assessment. So refreshing in contrast to the fanatical rantings on the various fan sites. Kudos.

The Kings are DEFINITELY on the rise. Their strengths lie in their evolving defensive corps and obvioulsy, in goal. I have not had a good feeling about defense and goaltending like I do now. It's nice to see young guys develop and make an impact for this team. The Kings simply need to step up the offense and bring in 1 or two more pieces to give Murray balance on 3 lines and a solid 4th line. I like the idea of having "interchangeable parts" that Murray can plug in throughout the season to throw wrinkles at opposing teams and creating match-up problems. Just like Spence said above, line combos will depend on streaks, who's jelling with who and who has the hot hand. I FULLY EXPECT the Kings to make the playoffs this year. Anything less than a step in that direction and certainly, Kings fans will be calling for Lombardi's head to roll...

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Aquarius

Avoid making promises today, or even believing in other people's promises. Today is not a good day to make commitments, as they are not likely to materialise. Taking risks is a no-no. Try to relax until the numbers are in your favour. Those pursuing their career will benefit.
