TSN's Dreger: NHL asks IIHF, KHL to negate Red Wings forward...

Wow, courtesy of TSN's Darren Dreger. July 10, TSN : Jiri Hudler remains property of the Detroit Red Wings and therefore the recent contract he signed in the KHL is being contested.

Tell Hudler to go to Moscow ... sign Zednik for a couple of years and Hudler will be back crying to get back to playing in the NHL. And when he comes back ... he can sit on the 4th line and try to crack the first 3 lines of young players that stuck around and worked their way into a starting offensive rloe in the system. Contest the deal ... go to appeal and then send him to Grand Rapids!!! Would the Wings still have to pay his salary if he's in GR?? I still say sign Zednik off free agengency ... he'd be a better fit and we need some toughness.
