The one good thing about being in last place is there's only one direction to go. Unfortunately, the Wild just can't seem to keep the spark alive, which is ironic considering Richards pledged to play "up-tempo" hockey. In my opinion, Richards seems to look like a confused, disrespected, lost and frightened person who walked in off the street and accidentally found himself standing with the players rink side.

Maybe the players are tired, especially so from the brutal beating they took Thursday night. But they sure look like dispirited, disinterested players giving all of 75 percent and just waiting to pick up their next pay check. I wonder if thats why I don't hear the announcers saying anything about "another sold out game" at the Excel like they used to during every single game in years past. These guys need a kick in the breezers to get their heads back in the game. How bout it Richards?

Sundance:"Who are those guys?"
Butch:"I don't know. I don't know..."
We don't know who they are, but we know they're good. Even without Ovechkin. 3 games in 4 nights from Toronto to Tampa, and halfway back again to face a rested Caps team is a TALL order. Would've been nice if Burnsie hadn't provided the breakout pass that sent the Caps flying out of their zone against the kid up from Houston tryin to back up and cover Burnsies butt on D as Caps blew by him and got the go-ahead goal. Otherwise, I thought it was a good try on fumes against a very good team. Oh ya: WELCOME BACK JOSH!!
